Please people that are already in the UK and have gotten the HCWV, kindly assist us that are still in Naija with contacts that can give this COS? We're ready to transport and maintain ourselves there. It's so discouraging getting the 'unfortunately' love letters and now most of the vacancies are requesting for people there. This japa season must favour me o smiley

I think we all need to realise that the UK is more than just healthcare workers. The NHS, despite being a health organisation, employs people from all fields and careers. There are vacancies for Account managers, I.T experts, cyber security, software developers, HR personal, android/iOS mobile developers, Architects, Engineers, etc. Same for other organisations in the UK. All you just need to do is search and you may just find a vacancy for your current career rather than switching to Carer or Health care worker just to get a job in the UK.

I am not saying that it is/will be easy but all you need to do is to ensure you're suitably qualified and you might just get your dream job.

Not sure there is much to say since I’m already here as a dependant.

Okay so the plan was to get post study visa (£2000 each) after my wife’s masters and then hopefully she gets a tier 2 job and if unfortunately she doesn’t then I will have to switch to do my own masters so we can extend our stay in the country.

Then the uk government announced the new carer visa (6145) and I decided to give it a try. Thanks to nairaland, I used the “uktiersponsors” website to search and filter out care homes and domiciliary care agencies that just got their sponsorship license and I was able to land several interviews because I was already working in the sector as a support worker. Las las I landed two job offers and I picked this one that I currently work with. I have been working here for over a month now, first salary don drop sef. Didn’t have to wait for visa to come out since I’m in the country already.

Interview Date: 17/03/2022
Offer Letter: 04/04/2022
CoS Assigned: 13/04/2022
Visa Application: 14/04/2022
Biometric: 09/05/2022
Visa Decision: 30/05/2022

It’s a 3 years CoS, though my offer letter says it’s a 5 year contract. I used Ecctis as English language requirement and my employer ticked the maintenance section.

Hello, can you please check your dm. I sent a message to you. Thanks.

Don't waste any more time guys
Find a low tuition fee uni of 10k or thereabout then a uni that would accept 2k pounds with bank rate of 560.
Leas than 1.5
Then get a pof that is around 2.5..of the require funds needed

With around 3.5
U should be in the uk..when u get there it would be to be a tier 2 visa.

They are actually supposed to send you the COS. I don’t see why not. It is not just a series of numbers. It’s an actual document. There you would also get their sponsorship license number, see if they ticked maintenance and all what not. From my experience, it is sent. It was even from the COS we found out that we were getting 5 years contracts with the nhs trust.

Just in case it is one of these scam schemes trending, make sure you get your COS and not just a number because I know people are desperately paying for cos now.

It's actually not a document. What you were sent is probably a pdf containing screenshots of the UKVI page, that or they downloaded the page and sent as a pdf. Even on gov.uk, they said it's not a document

Good morning all,

Please I have another question. I'm currently on Tier4 visa, which means 20hours per week work. While waiting for my Tier2, can I start working full time? Will my Tier4 need to be cancelled before I apply for Tier2. I'm only left with my thesis and I intend to finish it. I just want to know how it'll impact my new job.

Thank you

I think it's best to wait till you're fully on tier 2 before you start working full time. Just to be on the safe side

I should know what a screenshot looks like. It is a document with the UK VI logo even. It is titled (certificate of sponsorship details)
So whereas the certificate number is a series of letters and numbers, you can get an actual document with the details, which is what I got.
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by Navaisha: 1:38am On Jun 02, 2022
This is an encouragement. If you want this, don’t give up. You can achieve it.
Spouse’s timeline
Successful Job interview 18th March
Cos received 7th May
Biometrics 9th May
Visa received 31st May

(Nhs job as a support staff under 2219 Health professionals not elsewhere classified)
No previous health background just online care certificates and some targeted experience.

This is after ians chop our money with nothing to show for it. But their online certifications is what was used.
