Agent never hijacked any process rather those uk companies themselves want to only deal with recruitment agency instead of dealing directly with candidates. That's the loopholes those greedy recruitment agency are taking advantage of thereby selling slots with it. Do you think am happy paying such amount aswell ni? Please, for someone who came to the UK as a dependant to a skilled worker but got to the UK and wants to switch his visa to a sponsored skilled worker (HCA), will a English language proficiency test result be required.
Answer : Yes, it is required
Note: he hasn't submitted any English language proficiency test before for any visa application


Also, can he use the DBS check done by his present employer as the police check?
Answer : If the DBS is still within 3 months of issuance some employers will use that, however regardless of that some employers will like to run a new DBS checks.

Lastly, will tuberculosis test be required for applications within the UK

What you have heard may be true. I know someone close to me who has experienced this. Whatever you choose to do depends on what motivates you. This person will never stop doing care work because of how much she has made from the job over the years and still making. But be advised that the UK is a very big country and people have different experiences so this cannot be the reality of everyone in Care job. So many people are finding it very convenient.

In my own opinion, I will advise that you prepare yourself mentally to face situations like this so if it comes, you will know how to face it and if you do not experience it, lucky you. However, if you do not have the mental capabilities to face those kind of situation, find another kind of job that suits you.

Tech jobs are one of the biggest, if not the biggest paying jobs in the UK. Learn a tech skill and start your process of migrating. People get jobs within one year of learning a skill.

Last i checked...IHS is exempted only for those in the health and care job.... other skilled worker are not exempted...

Its on the first page of this thread....health and care visa cost is different from other skilled worker visa cost..so check well
