Ever Had A Close Shave With Death?

I have on several occasions when death was just a hair's breath away, but i'm alive today only because Someone up there decided that my time to depart this world had not yet come, some of which I'm going to share here.

The first was one I wasn't even aware of myself when it happened because I was just an infant at the time. It was my mum who later told me about it.

She and my dad were about to zoom off to church with the car when they had a crackling sound underneath the car, and had to stopped the car immediately.

When they came down from the car, guess who they saw under the car? Yes it was yours truly, to their greatest shock. I was the one under the car that made the car to make that crackling sound, after they had just began to move, but please don't ask me what I was doing there, I didn't even know that I was there at any point. But thankfully when I was assessed by them, I was very fine and yet bouncing, no bruises, nothing, which was also shocking but a much welcomed one.

However they were still in complete shock because of what had happened as the thought of how differently things could have panned out couldn't leave their mind.

Just imagine what the news have been would be like regardless that it wasn't deliberate. That they had ran over their child on their way to the church and he died as a result. It was better imagined than lived but thank God, He who never sleeps nor slumbers was watching over me that day, so it panned out in a way they could still share the story with me much later, not without me.

The second I would share happened when I had grown up, while I was about to cross the road one day. Now I had looked to the left and thought it was clear, and then to the right, but just as I was about to cross, I had "voom", as a car pass me in high speed. I was in shock and wondering where the car came from, because it was that close. The car would have just carried me along to where i didn't plan to go, but thank God things didn't pan out that way. However what happened that day is something that's still vividly on my mind because up til now, I can't explain how that happened and where the car came from.

The third was when I was returning from Church service with my dad in his car one day, although we had branched somewhere on our way back. I was still a teenager at the time. Now it was raining heavily, so I had an umbrella with me inside the car, in the passenger side of the front seat, which I had used to cover myself before entering, so it was still quite wet, and I held it with the head which was a metal with a pointed tip facing up.

It seemed to be of no danger until we had an accident and the force made that metal tip of the umbrella to collide with my throat. It gave me an injury on my neck but it wasn't that serious, however i didn't realize the magnitude of what had happened until much later.

I could remember how my dad had made a comment that the devil had targeted me in that accident, and after that incident, he stopped putting umbrellas inside his car for over a decade. That meant he'd be beaten by rain anytime it falls, because he wouldn't have any umbrellas to cover himself, and i didn't even realize that it was because of that single incident until much later.

Although this incident took place over twenty years ago, when I checked in the mirror recently after I remembered the incident, I could still see the scars the metal tip of that umbrella gave me on my neck. It was that close and could have pierced it but perhaps God thought otherwise, and hence prevented it from piercing through neck so I would not die but live to tell the story.

There are several other instances, some I can't even remember, where I had a close-shaves with death, but these ones should suffice to show why I live my life as a debt owed to God, because He's the reason I'm yet alive, so I give it all back to Him in expression of my gratitude, because my life belongs to Him.

Death is always close to every living thing because it's an inevitable end process...the only thing is that every living thing on a daily escapes death going through millions of death test to claim/end such living thing.

Well everyday is designed to kill you. As for I only calculate the probability of something happening to know the higher chance of you dying. Like everyday you walk down the road, enter a vehicle or bike, any little mistake or carelessness from you or someone else will definitely change the narrative

I just they hear the sound of a bullet coming towards me, the thing they make noise with grate speed.

Me wey be say na karanbani carry me climb tree I just freeze on top of the tree branch because I don't know which direction the bullet go pass.

Na him I hear paauuuuu! In front of me.

You know what? Na the bullet, the thing pass in front of me with great speed.

Na so I come come down from the tree pack my locust beans go home.

I traveled from Benin to Ibadan to submit my siwes letter, after I submitted and did everything, I had to return to benin that same day. It was already at evening time when I was in the car with other passengers, the car colided with another car head to head, men!!! My right leg hit the seat in front of me, but I had a minor scrape. We thanked God nobody died. When we all came out of the car the bonet don scatter.

None at all.. I am grateful to God for grace

Wow, I had escaped death so many times and i know that it can only be God........ When i Remember the time i was in coma in 2016, i just give thanks to God for sparing my life. When i remember the time i almost got crushed by a tipper, i thank God.... I have escaped death more than 6 times if i should count..... I remember when i fall sick every year am about to celebrate my birthday.... I just that God this year was different...... If i start sharing such here, almost everyone that read it would cry...... I just appreciate God for my life..

the day i can remember vividly was on the 29th of november 2020.... I was driving home that night while it was raining cats and dogs. I was in my car and i entered the estate where i live... Suddenly, while still driving, a naked life wire dropped right infront of my car and was sparking, i was flabbergasted... I parked my car right infront of this naked wire and i got down. The wire was still Sparking right on the ground.. The security guards came around and an electritian was called.. Had it been i did not see the wire dropping, only God knew what would had happened, when i got home that day, i couldn't thank God enough..

I made a mistake that day by removing my seat belt... The car was going to the left and to the right. I was sweating in A.C.. Suddenly the car stopped at the front of a big tree and i hit my head on the steering. I became unconsious but i managed to whine down the glass and put my two hands outside so that people would know there is an accident. I found myself in an hospital and sustained and head injury... It was a very long story and i thank God it was not more than that...

Wow! Head-on collision is usually fatal.

Thank God it didn't pan out the usual way.

Which day Nigerian has never has closed shave with death with current situation of the country?tell me.

Mine was when I was younger, subsix I took hold of Nepa earthed rod Rod while it was raining! Right in my eye, I could see my life essence evaporating. It was like a strong evil force took hold of my hand and was giving me a vigorous shake all over. I was very weak in the knee yet couldn't move any part of my body just the shakes.
It could have been a double tragedy that fateful day cause by big brother try to draw my clothes but was thrown far away!
Brave brother didn't give up - withdraw a few meters away and ran to give me a flying tackle like those Ruby players will do! His efforts paid off as we both were released and collapsed on the ground!
Need I say he was below 12 himself then but his heroism was way more than a trained fire brigade would offered.

Was in a ghastly accident some two years ago where a life was lost with some injured including me but ivthank God mine was not serious, bruises to my left arm, I still see the mark on my hand everyday and thank God.
