just watched the 2009 final again. i think barca struggled in the first half because they were trying to get used to a more or less new back four of puyol, toure, pique and sylvinho.

they were not always in a straight line and man u were running at them making them edgy. Man u were also playing a 4-3-3. anderson and carrick were trying their best to keep the midfield tight.

In the second half, tevez came in for anderson and that turned out to be big mistake for SAF. Barca took control of the midfield and with it the game. Man u hardly threatened afterwards.

I think SAF would go for the first half formation come Saturday. Defend hard, stifle midfield and run at barca on the counter. Which is just like real madrid plays. However Barca has improved tremendously over the last two years and have learnt a trick or two.
