Its not about being religious but having a relationship with GOD, and only through JESUS CHRIST we can have that relationship. Its not all about the physical but also the spiritual. Physically It might look pleasurable but the person exposes themselves to spiritual problems that can take only the grace of GOD to overcome. And if it becomes an addiction ,thats the worst because of the toll it takes on the person. It affects them emotionally, socially, spiritually, etc. GOD has designed it that when a man and woman are married to each other then they have sex. Thats just how it is meant to be. There is no where is written in the Bible is a sin though but I'm not endorsing it. Sexual immorality is between persons and not a loner practice: masturbation is self service in itself.
