I hope our greedy leaders are learning that the rot they are creating in the society would someday haunt, hunt and capture them. Sometimes all your wealth will not save you if you ignore certain simple things of life. Bubu, take note.
On another note, the average medical practitioner in Nigeria is a murderer. Very evil set of people.

This is why you shouldn't return to Nigeria if God helps you to escape...no matter how much you've acquired to come back, please stay back, because your life can be snuffed out the second you land here.

I weep for the death of Obadiah, who will tell us the evil they are planning to do to us?
Why did they not share it on social media?
So we will start praying and sharing? Eh?
Is witchcraft, I'm very sure, this is how witchcraft operate, they will frustrate all efforts, that was how they killed my father.

Nigeria!!! Nigeria!!!! Nigeria!!!
A country that kills the best people and leave the evil ones to torment us.

When you to our government hospital's you will see reasons why our politicians and ellite go abroad for treatment.
Many of our government hospital's are cementary and slaughter houses in disguise.
RIP to the Central Banker.

What a horrible reporting by Vanguard.

Looks like a blog post with so much incoherent and poorly arranged points with primary, secondary, tertiary and quarternary sources that ended up fouling up the whole story.

It is so bad that the reporter did not even know the name of the wife and son of the deceased yet kept on addressing them as "wife " and "son" and didn't even know that this is not likely malaria so he could get the view of experts on those symptoms similar to covid-19 symptoms.
Vanguard never reached any of the facilities accused to get their version and it ended up making the report unbalanced and not credible.

I pray that God will help our media rise above pettiness and mediocrity . This report is disgraceful. I don't even know if the profession has an agency that monitors the practitioners. I pity folks still buying a newspaper with such low quality reporting.
May your days be long! A one-sided junk journalism just to deceive the public into believing an illogical conspiracy theory.

Irresponsible journalism from vanguard.
As a former casualty officer,I've been in several situations where patient's relatives will want me to continue CPR forever even when the patient is clinically dead so I can already decipher what happened there.
When you hear from the management of the Hospital now,you will see it was exactly the opposite of what vanguard reported that happened.
The history of being treated for Malaria for 3 days without responding and needing oxygen at the CBN hospital already points to COVID 19 and his age might not help matters too but stupid vanguard will report the version that'll be sensational.
Forget about the trashy reporting, but you as a former so called casualty officer, when you have COVID patient in your hands, what are you supposed to do? Even when the patient is requiring for a ventilator, you will deny him, watching him expire in your hands untimely.

The incompetency of our medical personnels in Nigeria is well known. I have been through it, and it was only God that delivered me.

I don't think you need to be paid a billion dollars to do your job properly, Nigerian doctors
Go to Cuba, they have one of the poorest pay and infrastructure but some of the best doctors on earth. We need to stop making everything about money

The American medical doctor graduates with an average loan of $300k or N170m. And wouldn't earn that money for nearly 10 years after graduation

A Nigerian doctors graduates with less than an average of N5m expenses and has the opportunity to practice abroad with zero student loans

Of course the government needs to improve pay and infrastructure in Nigeria. Still, you chose a profession that is bound by oath to provide best of your ability service irrespective of money, status or curcumstance
When you mentioned Cuban doctors.
God help Nigeria medical sector

.It looks like Covid .Over 65 and above should be careful of going to every place. They are usually more susceptible to the disease than any group index. The loss of one's husband wife and parent regardless of their ages is better said than experienced. I sympathize with the entire family.God will comfort you all.

I remember a sad incident at the same gwagwalada specialist hospital that took place several years ago. A man rushed his brother who was ill there on emergency. On arrival he was told to deposit N20,000 before they could attend to his brother. He plleaded that they should start that he only had N5000 at the moment but will get the rest. Then there were no POS you had to go queue at the ATM. They refused and insisted he must pay N20,000 before they start.

The man ran out to the nearest bank and about 30mins later he came back with cash but sadly due to neglect his brother had died.

He asked the doctor where is my brother here is the Money(he threw money at the doctor) where is my brother? The thunder slap he gave the doctor that day made all the nurses take off it was relatives of other patients that had to hold him and console him.

Is that the record that that hospital has?
I mean in terms of behaviour!

Health sector needs an urgent unbiased reform. Let doctors stay in the wards and attend to patients while hospital administration is handed by a season administrator or an economics.

Appears to be Covid related. Sad.

Anyone taking a patient to a hospital in Nigeria in an emergency should be ready to take hell along with him or her. If not, these medics will just allow your loved one die for nothing.

The situation in Nigeria today has so badly affected our humanity that an average Nigerian can watch a fellow human being die and do nothing about it even when he/she can help.

You are hearing this because it is Mailafia. There are many who die daily in similar circumstances.

Doctor wen dey think of how him go take japa go canada, america or saudi, na im you dey depend to care for your person. Na dai you dey.

True talk...

Just last week here, I rushed an uncle to hospital in Abuja on emergency . On getting there we where told to take card first. When I raised voice they rushed and take him on stretcher to emergency.
He was lying there struggling to breath and unattended to for more than 1 hour. When I asked the doctor whats happening, all he said was they are doing documentation. Documenting what? I asked ! but was ignored. To cut the story short, when they finally agreed to admit him it was two late as he passed away.

Nigeria is finished..

Hmmm. I pity anyone who goes to any Nigerian hospital and has a life threatening sickness. The nurses and doctors will be fighting openly. The nurses will be pretending to work while the doctors will be away. They take one look at a patient and insteadcof saving the life of the patient they among themselves say the patient is dead. They help speed up the death. They will be asking teaching hospital questions about the patient...did they take anti pregnancy pill? When last? How many children? Blahh all research questions. Then they say take the terminally ill patient home. Had looked up to the profession with respect and pride but they grow thick skins and dont have feelings. Its like let em die make we no stress ourselves.
FG needs to equip hospitals and ppl who steal or sabotage hospitals should be treated as saboteurs or charged with treason.
