Cashio: Story for the gods. el-Rufai is right...the north dominates and controls Nigeria's security agencies. Who else would implement the anti-grazing law if not the police or civil defense? I'm waiting to see a governor who will set up a task force for anti-grazing because he's definitely going to have issues with the president. Besides, most of those dirty Fulani herders you see own just a few of those herds of cattle. The real owners of the cattle are the powerful northerners in government. That's why the herders are armed to protect the cattle. Later, they become bold, attacking farms/communities and raping women. But the question we should be asking our president is, if he can ranch his cattle, why not become the role model in this regard and encourage his people to do the same?

This has exposed the stupidity or emptiness of El-Rufai. I had overrated his IQ for years. How could a state invest or support private business with N10b per ranch and thinking of 14 ranches altogether (for N140 billion)? How much in tax or other revenue does cattle business especially herders (or cattle owners) contribute to the state? The state has livestock division of Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources that is currently unproductive and there is no plan to expand such with the aid of PPP to make is employment and revenue generating entity. El-Rufai should mind his business and leave the southern governors to mind theirs too. 1 Like |

Cattle grazing has become a business for the Fulani government of Nigeria. They get revenue from Niger Delta & southern Nigeria to build ranch & mosques for the parasitic region. |

I laugh when people talk of government agencies helping states to implement the law. Is it the police and other government agencies that are breaking bottles of beer in the North? States will use their vigilante or other developed state agencies. It's been a crude approach from hisbah police, so same can be applied. No be slaughter cow? Abeg oooo. What is bad is bad. Thete must be mutual respect for one another |

The cow business and setting up other business are they not the same? Cos am confused the cow that the herds are moving up and down is own by someone 1. As a farmer can I just to northern state and start farming without acquiring land for farming but this guy will just come to our forest without notice. The herds are not the owner of this cow let the owners go and expand their business like the way other business do. Am sick of this cow people. |

I always wonder if this is the same el rufai that was the minister of fct. If this is the same el rufai that i knew he was a first class student. I am really disappointed with this man. Today, he is know as the governor that is mostly hit by Bandit because of his Tribalism. He refused to take actions against his kinsmen who are ravaging kaduna and eliminating the Christians in his state. El rufai is asking the Federal govern to pay him 140 billion Naira to build ranches for cow. 140b Nara to finance a private business . Is this not insane? A lot of graduates are on the street with nothing to do..someone is asking for 140billion nara to build ranches for cow that yield nothing in return except to be sold by owners and owners pocket the money. 140bNaira can do a lot if used to set up manufacturing companies that could employ people. I always thought elrufai is one of the educated governors we have in Nigeria But now i believe it a different thing to go to school and it another different thing to be learned. Elrufai only go to school. |
