Ex-Senate President Polling At 74% Among Women; 78% Favourability Rating Amongst Men

As potential presidential aspirants in Nigeria’s opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), continue to consult ahead of their declarations, polling from BLG Intelligence, a West African Polling, and Research Think Tank, shows that former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has an 8 out of 10 favorability rating amongst young people aged 18 to 35.

The study, which was conducted in six key cities across Nigeria, polled 6000 people in total (1000 in each city) by asking one question: “Which of these three individuals would you prefer as the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party.”

The options that participants were provided with included, former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, who by all indications is vying again for the Presidency of Africa’s most populated country, and the current Governor of Sokoto State and Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who has been mentioned in key media publications as a potential contender for his party’s presidential ticket.

While 13% of Nigerians between 18 and 35 preferred Atiku, only 11% of respondents in that age range preferred Tambuwal. Saraki polled at 76% in the survey, which has a plus or minus 5% margin of error.

When broken down amongst men and women, 78% of male respondents stated that they preferred Saraki; 14 percent preferred Atiku; while 8% preferred Tambuwal.

Amongst women in the youth demographic, Saraki led again with a 74% favorable rating for President; while Tambuwal and Atiku polled at 16% and 10% respectively.

The survey, which was independently funded by the BLG Group, the parent company of BLG Intelligence, was carried out in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, Kaduna, Onitsha in Anambra State, and Bauchi.

Three presidential aspirants in one picture.
If you study Nigeria politics very well you'll understand that north central states, particularly kwara state, candidates are at disadvantage.

All these people giving their opinion online don't even have voters card. They are only active on social media, but in reality, they are ghost citizens of Nigeria.

Believe me, all of them have nothing to do for Nigeria because when they get there now they will be operating on the protocol which was created by 1999 Constitution.
