CODES P0340 P0345 P0335

These are one of the most common trouble complaints for Nissan vehicles.
The codes refer to issues with the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors.

SYMPTOMS

Issues with starting
Car may switch off while driving
Transmission jerks

SOLUTIONS

Replacing whichever sensor is faulty should be the last option.
First, check wiring to and from the sensor for breaks.
Next remove sensor and examine for chipping (obvious indication to replace)
Note also that because these 3 sensors work together, it is possible for the crankshaft sensor to cause a camshaft sensor code to light up. Therefore, if replacing the one doesnt solve the problem, replace the other

Hi Chichi,

We are not affiliated with the Nissan dealership where I assume you bought your car from (??)
Your warranty therefore does not apply.

Hello, nice to have a place to buy original Nissan parts. I am about picking up an 06 pathfinder. Kindly advise is it a durable. Easy to maintain vehicle? What are the downsides of the vehicle? Your response will be really appreciated.
Thanks a mill, God bless.
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 1:12pm On Jan 09, 2012
Excellent vehicle with only one major flaw.
It is susceptible to transmission failure caused by the radiator leaking fluid into the transmission.
This can happen anytime from 50,000 miles.
If you ever notice irregular shifting of the transmission, park the car and look into the radiator when the car cools down.
If you see brownish particles, it has happened.
Another sign is the transmission dipstick which will look milky when you gauge the trans fluid.
If you catch it early enough, u can drain and flush the transmission and replace the fluid and radiator, if not, only remedy is replacement of both transmission and radiator.

Note however, every car has its flaws, some more serious than others sha

Great insight, very helpful. Thanks a mill. Can I just change the radiator and carry out the procedure advice once I buy the vehicle ? How much are the HID kits for the 06 pathfinder? Any guarantee on the kit?
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 1:35pm On Jan 09, 2012
Replacing the radiator as preventive measure should give you peace of mind.
I dont keep HID kits in stock, they are only available on pre-order basis.
What I have in stock is the replacement Angel eye projector headlight pair posted in this thread.
HID kit is 25k
Projector headlight set is 70k

Please which engine oil can u recommend for a 2002 maxma, considering that the sae 5w-30 recommended by nissan is scarce here in nigeria?
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 3:17pm On Jan 09, 2012
Next best thing is Mobil 1 0w40
It's a bit costly though.
If you are over 100k miles u might as well do Mobil XHP which is still the best regular priced 20w50 oil available, in my opinion
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by Bendazi: 3:26pm On Jan 09, 2012
Ok, but what about d variation in oil? 5w-30 recommended by nissan and d 20w-50 u just suggested. Wldnt there be any engine issues?
