To Move To Canada Or Not by koleegbira: 12:29pm On May 30, 2011 |
Hello good people in the house. I will really appreciate your help here . I came to the United Kingdom in 2006 for my pgd and Msc graduated in 2008 and since then I have been working here firstly on psw and then later tier 1 general. I work in a construction industry as Environment Advisor. My Msc was Environmental Technology, and I hold safety qualifications as well i.e NEBOSH Dip. I applied for Canadian PR stuff wayback in 2008 and I am currently at medical stage, I am currently very confuse whether to leave UK for Canada looking at all the recent happenings in UK.If I decide to stay in UK , I will be looking for extra 20,000 pounds to convert my Tier 1 come next year as am currently on 30,000 pounds and am 33 yrs of age. I have gone through several forum and I can see people lament about job situation for immigrant in Canada and also how difficult life is as well. Am confuse and need advice from people as I don’t know if I can get equivalent of what I am earning now in Canada and if my UK environmental degree can be recognized . I understand I might have to do some certifications to get my Environmental degree recognized but the question is how soon after this can I get myself on the career ladder. I am confuse seriously as to whether to move or not and I will appreciate people to share experiences of moving from UK to Canada |

The UK has a paranoia health and safety culture where everything requires risk assesments Etc. This provides endless jobs for people with Qualifications (Bits of paper) Find out if there is such a requirement in Canada. I believe in many parts of Canada there is a "Frontier culture" where they have never heard of a risk assement. As for health & safety in Nigeria |
