takeit123:My dear, i understand you.... Ganduje was able to go scot-free with it because it happened here in Nigeria, where they also feed us tales of how snake swallowed money and nothing was done about it... You know its not possible for abba kyari to tell fbi that he wasn't the one in the bribe-taking text, but had it been it happened in Nigeria, he will say its photoshop... That is what i kind of mean.... I don't want to believe that any sane soul will plead innocence of a crime he committed in a working country like america, where we know that even dogs are highly trained, not to talk of judges and jury..... vicksbaba: Am a lady so anything rape u know as e dey do us for body still I don't want to judge with emotions. There are persons that has been accused because all evidences points to them yet they are innocent am not even talking about tempered evidences SOILD ones. We have a family friend who spent 8 years in jail for robbery all the evidences including eye witnesses pointed to him. He was in jail for 3 years awaiting trial till our church took up the case they were able to reduce his sentence to 5 years. Only to find out that it was a robbery organized by his colleagues and they needed a fall guy. He was released but he came out as an insane man, during his treatment he left home till date his family has not been able to locate him. This happened in warri. Hence my reason for not believing just abt ANY evidences or even eye witnesse. Even DNA has been tempered with in some cases and is not infallible anyone can research that. If op is guilty he go suffer for 600 years but if he is not all those that are seeking for another man destruction will suffer double of what he has suffered. Heaven nor dey forget. Those of us that can do the little we can will do it without saying here on this thread. #hangs my booth on this thread# 12 Likes 4 Shares |

404Dev: Exactly the whole essence of trials is because you plead innocent. You plead guilty, no trials and you get sentenced by a judge or cut a deal with the prosecutors. Every guilty person, who goes to trial always pleads not guilty. |

BKsoul:If Osama bin laden was captured alive and pleaded not guilty when charged to court in the US, you wouldn't simply believe him just cause he claims he is innocent would you? Fact is thousands of criminals plead not guilty and fight the charges against them with the hope that they could find a loophole and win in court. A not guilty plea is not a prove of innocence. You need to back it up with sufficient pieces of evidence to convince the court and in this case Mr bah had 3 years to gather those pieces of evidence, collaborated with an attorney and prepare his case which he did. But unfortunately he failed to convince a 12 man jury of his innocence. So before one can say the jury made a mistake or not, one has to see all the pieces of evidence that was presented in court especially the ones that were used to nail Mr. Bah to the crime not just the 4 cropped out documents he posted. That is very important, cause some people are stating how judges make mistake and the US legal system isn't perfect. But to accurately determine if the court made a mistake you would yo review all the pieces of evidence presented to it. Yes mistakes do happen but I strongly belive that's the not case here. Mr. Bah has already established a record of lies even on this thread when he stated he spent $150,000 on legal fees which has been debunked by 2 persons based in Georgia that he spent $0 on legal fees which he didn't deny or challenge them. So why lie? I guess just to draw public sympathy and ride on the emotions of soft-hearted individuals. If he lied about 1 thing, he could have as well lied about everything else. Judges are not perfect but they aren't stupid. No judge anywhere on earth even here in Nigeria would convict you in a case like this where dna tests where carried out and the results were in your favour. And unlike his claims, the dns results were neither in his favour nor inconclusive. Mr. Bah never challenged the dna results but rather challenged the process that was used and asked the court not to administer the results of the test as evidence. Why would someone not want evidence that could prove his innocence not administered in court? CCTV footage shows Mr. Bah chasing the girl and Mr. Bah or anyone else hasn't come out to explain this even though its been days I have asked. From one of the documents Mr. Bah posted himself, it clearly stated the attacker kissed the victim. This clearly implied the girl saw the face of her attacker and therefore must have been asked to identify him during investigations. Mr. Bah's only prove of innocence is that she wasn't allowed to identify him in court. We all know minors are protected in cases like this. Who would allow his 13 year old raped and sodomized daughter go through the emotional trauma of a court trail? And I believe this are just a fraction of all that was presented in court. Remember the jury made its decision in less than 1 hour which clearly shows that there wasn't much to think about and the case was pretty straightforward. If just 1 member of the jury had thought that Mr. Bah was innocent, then that would have been another conversation but all 12 returned a guilty verdict. Mr. Bah was arrested sometime in 2017 and sentenced in 2019 and he is just doing this now and here on nairaland? Why? Probably because all those who could have legitimately helped him turned away after reviewing the case and all the pieces of evidence against him. Yea, the sentence was harsh but his total lack of remorse even till this point is frightening. He comes off to me as someone who's done shit in the past and gotten away with it and expects the same to follow here. 21 Likes 3 Shares |

Skyview01: I would not debate the sentence without reading the transcripts end to end to have complete information. Is he now ready to demonstrate remorse and if yes, is it too little, too late? He was convicted by solid, hard science yet no remorse. Wasting the court’s time and resources with frivolous hearings, putting the child and her family through a traumatizing trial, etc, etc. For goodness sake, the almighty FBI was part of the investigation, not just the local police ! He took a gamble by going the absolute denial route and he lost, chikena! One of the reasons why people take plea deals is to mitigate sentencing. Was he offered a plea deal and what was his response to the offer? And maybe they didn’t bother to offer him one because the prosecution was 1000% sure of convicting him based on incontrovertible evidence and they wanted to make an example of him. Was there a victim impact statement? Those can also have a powerful impact on the sentencing. The intent of this sentence is to send a strong message that this very violent crime was particularly egregious and to put future child rapists on notice. Knowing there’s a complete lack of remorse, the judgment is intended to make sure he’s never a free man again and thereby prevent him from victimizing another child. One of the longest sentences in US history is for another child rapist - Charles Scott Robinson. 5000 years for each of 6 charges so 30,000 years in prison. The intent is to put such sexual deviants away forever. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

In the other thread, he started off accessing Georgia of being a very racist state but never stated or claimed anywhere that he was racially abused by anyone or treated differently or unfair because he was black. So why play the Georgia is a racist state card if you never suffered racial abuse? Just to draw public sympathy which all this is all about. Mr. Bah's only route of escape isn't to overturn the guilty verdict or even reduce the sentence. No, in his mind his route of escape is if he was set back to Nigeria which he in fact requested for during the trials. That's the whole point of all these. He hopes to draw enough public sympathy, create some sort of media circus and see if he's request to be sent to Nigeria can be considered. He knows he isn't overturning the verdict else he would have uploaded the full full court transcripts for the whole world to see the injustice he claims was melted against him. I mean he has nothing else to lose right? But no, he posted only those he felt would back up his story and mislead the public. The Nigerian embassy in US were involved in his trial at the early stages but withdrew completely at the a latter stage. My guess was that evidence was overwhelming and they didn't want to soil their reputation or thrown away their conscience. Most people here have already concluded that Mr. Bah is innocent based solely on only the so called evidence he posted. Sadly same people have never asked for the evidence presented against him by the persecutor. Cases are not just decided by hearing from one party, are they? So one wonders how such persons arrived at the conclusions. 15 Likes 1 Share |

So I still maintain, if Mr. Bah or anyone else wants to prove his innocence, that person should upload the full court transcripts so we can clearly see for ourselves the injustice the court melted out to him. 3 Likes 1 Share |

404Dev: I believe you have nailed his intent for coming on here. He’s desperate and grasping at straws, same thing any drowning man would do. We heard that his conditions changed in the last 90 days. I would not be surprised if that is what initiated this reawakening on Nland. Pedophiles and child rapists are the most hated inmates in prisons, much more than even serial killers. Fellow inmates consider them the worst of the worst and they have to constantly watch their backs . Another inmate killing a child rapist is considered honourable and convicted child rapists are often in protective custody cells to protect them from other inmates. The chatinet person should have no trouble obtaining the 1200+ pages of transcripts for you. He has direct access to the convict and championed his innocence from the beginning. I expect that their team would be more than happy to have an unbiased set of eyes look through the case. . . . . . . . . . . or maybe not? 8 Likes 2 Shares |

I would normally just read, view others opinion and make conclusions on my own, but in this case i am compelled to contribute. I have gone through this thread from the 1st page, listened to Mr Bah’s arguments and also taken into cognizance the opinions of others and i must say Mr Bah is an unrepentant liar and a deceiver, I have followed this thread with keen interest and right from the first assertions made by 1stgenamerican and also having examined the documents posted here, I could easily deduce that Mr Bah wasnt willing to speak the truth, rather he was looking to feed lies and half truths to the people who he had emotionally coerced into sympathizing with him by selling his contrived innocence. Mr bah has demonstrated that he is a manipulator, a dissolute debaucher, an arrogant and unapologetic rapist who feels no remorse towards his actions but instead tries to paint himself as a virtuous and guiltless being. He has vehemently refused to narrate the events that occurred on the said day of the rape incidence from his own angle, instead he has tried to shut out the goad people who saw through his lies and deceit. To the people who still feel some sort of predilection towards mr Bah’s predicament, I will say only one thing to you “ Mr Bah is a teller of untruths and he deserves the retribution handed to him. He is in no doubt guilty of what he is accused of and he should remain and spend the rest of his life in incarceration so he wouldn’t have the chance to hurt other people. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

You cannot compel me to share or paste some confidential 1200 documents to you just because you want to verify sth. The document already says the rape happened! All we were doing from frontpage was arguing the rapist couldn't have been Bah using evidences provided to refute the claims. The dissonance isn't what I want to do here again.
