LegendHero: But when he was running for Governor he filed papers claiming to have graduated from the University of Chicago, a top university instead of the Chicago State University, a third rate university. That was fraud. That was one of the reasons he was sued by Gani Fawehinmi. |

Until Nigerian youth learn how to make these old men drop dead one by one, they will not stop playing on their intelligence. Imagine, Tinubu of all people after all the calamity we've witnessed with the current administration. If you think Buhari is worse, then you can place Tinubu at a far greater scale of worsedom than Buhari. Because he is surely going to beat Buhari in one record: corruption. All these old men are morally bankrupt and unfit to lead a decent society. Their aversion for the youth and what is new or creative is my greatest disapproval. |

executive12: Thank God that you bring the Gani Fawwhinmi issue and I can explain. I’m happy you followed the case then. He filed his INEC form CF001 for governorship 1999 and he stated that he attended the school below as post sec education: —Chicago State University —University of Chicago. When the independent press did their research then, then emailed both schools and only Chicago state university confirmed that he had a degree with them and Univeristy of Chicago said there is no one named Bola Tinubu in their school register. Hence, the Gani Fawehinmi etc accused Tinubu of a case of certificate forgery and if you remember that Femi Falana was one of those defending Tinubu then and he had an interview then during those days where he said he will easily win the case for Tinubu in court because Tinubu did not submit any certificate for “Univeristy of Chicago” in his form, he only submitted that of “Chicago state University”. Hence, you can’t accuse someone of certificate forgery when you haven’t seen the forged certificate. A technical issue. During the hearing at the Lagos house of assembly, Tinubu’s defense was that he audited a course in “Univeesity of Chicago” and not necessarily graduated from the school. He said he just audit some few unit of course and his lawyers were the one that prepared the form CF001 for INEC and he somehow inserted the university of Chicago as a school he attended and because he was busy wit other stuffs, the lawyer just went to submit to INEC without informing him. His defense might be a truth or a lie, but they were not able to bring towards him allegation of certificate forgery. No one, even Gani Fawehimi cannot state that Tinubu did not graduate from Chicago state University. They all saw his certificate and transcript as evidence tendered on that day. The only issue then was that he said in his affidavit that he also attended “University of Chicago” which is different from “Chicago State University”. 4 Likes |

This is a Nigerian and according to the Nigerian constitution, he has the same constitutional rights you have from freedom of association and to contest for any office in Nigeria. You don't have to vote for him, that's your rights, but other Nigerians also are blessed with the same constitutional rights to vote for the candidates of their choice including Tinubu. The thing is, many of the anti-democratic elements write their undemocratic essays to deny other Nigerians their constitutional rights, you shout democracy all day, but your actions and things that you write are always undemocratic. Win or lose, Nigerians are still going to vote or reject his candidacy, that's their constitutional choice to make, not yours. What's sad about these essay writers and their scarred and jittery fingers is the fact that Tinubu is yet to show any interest or say a word about running for anything, so I don't get why you are all sacred and running around like a headless chicken. Instead of losing sleep over Tinubu, stop wasting your time, go and dig up and support your own candidate and stop acting like losers already before election start sef.. 1 Like |

pacespot: If only elections were won based on social media comments....lol. The corruption of these old men is peanuts compared to what the youths are capable of, e.g Desmond Elliot, Dimeji Bankole etc. Old or young, one man cannot save Nigeria, the strength of the cabal is way too high, a systematic reform starting from the grassroots led by innovative and ethical minds is needed, you can't just jump to presidency or governorship, in politics a coalition is needed whether we like it or not. 1 Like |
