In every contest, if you are yet to meet your match, an equal opposition or a stronger challenger, one will hold the view of invisibility looking back at previous successes. The Persian Immortal unit was seen as undefeatable until they met a battle-hardened Spartans/Greecians at Thermopylae. King Leonidas I of Sparta lead a smaller force from Sparta and Greece to embarrassed over 100 thousand Persian at the Pass of Thermopylae.

In 1942, the Nazi leader, Hitler, matched his undefeated 6th Army, the most highly decorated German army unit of 2 million men towards the doorstep of the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The battle of Stalingrad sees the historical defeat of the undefeated and battle-hardened 6th Army that had previously recorded victories in Europe.

In the early 90s, the Iraqis Republic Guard Corp was a unit to reckon with in the middle-east. They were better trained, disciplined, equipped. These elite troops of the Iraqi army are directly reporting to Saddam Hussein. The RGFC, despite its popularity, suffer and humiliating defeat during Operation Desert Storm, unable to lunch a serious counter-attack or mount a serious defence.

The above are few instances where the supposed powerful unit fall like a pack of a card when they meet an equal opposition or a stronger challenge.

Politicians from the Northern part of Nigeria have seen themselves as the one who holds the key to the kingdom due to population advantage. However, this is no longer true as the political compass of the north is changing rapidly and it is moving towards the southwestern pattern. Banditry and insurgency have awakened the Northern minority tribes (especially from the northwest and northeast) into a new political reality.

From the grassroots perspective, northern candidates will not get the same old numbers they were boasting of, it will be easier for a Politician sitting in Rivers or Lagos to get over 90% votes of the Northern minority group just by riding a horse into the city than the most popular northern candidate to get 50%.

You all might have heard about the Bible story of how Israel split into two kingdoms after the death of Solomon.
The role of Rehoboam and Jeroboam.
How Jeroboam fled to Egypt to escape his father's(Solomon) fury due his criticism of his father's over taxation and hard labour over the Israelites.
For more details of the story, read 1Kings12:1...
The same Egypt that Jesus Christ was taken to to escape king Herod's fury.
You can recall that the son of Kano State governor recently flew with his family to Egypt to escape his parents fury after reporting his mother to EFCC for engaging in financial crimes.
Egypt have been playing a very good role as a Land of Refuge since time immemorial.
The same Egypt that the Israelites flew to when draught and famine hit Palestine.
Back to the Bible story, it was alleged that Israelite God hardened the heart of Rehoboam that made him to denounce the advice of the elders but adhered to that of the youths.
All in a bid for a prophecy to be fulfilled.
And behold Rehoboam that is after power instead of justice was revolted against by Jeroboam and the larger Israelites, who is after Justice.
And Behold, Jeroboam was made a king by the larger Northern 10 tribes of Israel with its capital in Jerusalem while Rehoboam only had the tribe of Judah and Benjamin in the South with its capital at Samaria.
U can recall that both Jeroboam and Rehoboam were all sons of Solomon.
In the same vein, the Fulani tribe of Nigeria that have been largely profiled are not all Evil.
Just that the atrocities of the evil few dominates the goodness of the majority.
Some Northern Leaders are acting like Rehoboam.
Even the Jeroboams amongst them are being treated as traitors for canvassing for power shift to the South in the interest of Justice.
The ancient Israelites scenario is playing out in Nigeria right now
But, Life won't stop Producing Jeroboams and Rehoboams.
In the end, the Jeroboams always wins.

Nigeria's Unity Is Negotiable.
Yes, it's not typographic error.
I meant what I said.
Nigeria's Unity Is Negotiable.
U can't force Amina to marry Balogun against her wish and vice versa.
The two must mutually agree to become a couple where the interests and rights of each person will be respected by the other.
In the same vein, you can't compel Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani, Kanuri, Efik, Ibibio, Tiv, Hausa, Gwari, Itshekiri, Urhobo, Bini, Igala, Nupe, Igbira, Jukun, Idoma, Ijaw, etc to be under one sovereign state without ushering in the necessary sociopolitical rights due to each ethnic group.
It's democratically and morally wrong for one of these ethnic groups to claim Lord over others.
This is 21st century, you can't subdue and marginalize others based on ethnic and religious grounds.
That's an archaic mindset.
That domineering mentality have crashed mighty Empires and Kingdoms.
May we never vote someone that puts his tribe before others in a multiethnic country like Nigeria as that leads to #Bigotry #Nepotism as we are currently witnessing.
May we never vote a very religious person, being it a Christian, Moslem, Jewish or Traditionalist to preside over the affairs of a diverse country like Nigeria.
As that leads to fanaticism, as you know it, most religious people tend to exhibit extremism tendencies.
Rather may we vote for Sane minds, that are rational with no much interest in religion.
Someone that is detribalised, with sound reasoning.
Someone that puts the interest of the human person above his tribes and religion.
May we build a Nation where there will be equal rights and justice for all persons.
Where Peace and Justice shall Reign, Else let the Vanderwall forces holding Nigeria break.

The formula of winning election is, a Presidential candidate has to get 25% from atleast 23 states across the 6 geopolitical zones. South-West was instrumental in making PMB become President and shifting the political alignment to South-West by Northerners isn't a weakness but a move to fulfill the promises made that made PMB President. Nor region orzone can win Presidential election without ally.
Your post is a total ignorance of Nigerian political system and the permutation that can make one a winner of Presidential election.

In the first place, population figures from the north are wrong, so it is wrong to believe that because of crisis, the voting figures will change, NO

Electronic voting or even electronic transmission of results will expose the North very soon

I am a lazy writer that is why I am economic about my write up. But I do understand the "25% from atleast 23" criteria. That is why I said it will be easier will be easier for a Politician sitting in Rivers or Lagos to get over 90% votes of the Northern minority group just by riding a horse into the city than the most popular northern candidate to get 50%.

Due to recent developments in North, political alignment with the northern minority groups will be easier for a southern candidate than a northern candidate which of cause could deliver the needed 25% or above.

What matters is the number of people on voters register. And the north has it than any other region.

And what happens when there is electronic voting and only 20% of the number ON THE VOTERS REGISTER turn up

Remember the North do boast of 80% turn out which is very dubious while highest in the South is 40% turn out

If u think ur ethno-religious idea targeting Northern Christian will work then look at ur region andponder well about what will happen if weall engae in religious politics.
Some people are ahead of u in that permutation. That is why North will endorse Tinubu except otherwise because of ur attitude, if u think the idea of Middlebelt or Christian minority will work then there are many ideas!
