You can't blame the Loan Sharks

Because Nigerians see credit facilities as Miracle Money or Sara money.

Instead of making small payments in a timely manner. Somebody owing SOKOLOAN N100,00p will still be eating Indomie Super Pack with 4 boiled eggs, like a food monster.

Infact the Loan sharks should use Geo-location tools to locate debtors and use koboko to flog sense into them.

There is nothing like free money!
Exactly, most Nigerians don't like to payback whatever they owe. I saw one criminal complaining to the bank customer service, that he is getting deductions on his account. That they should stop all debits. The lady asked if he had ever taken a loan anywhere, he reluctantly agreed but pleaded for stoppage. Lady asked if he didn't intend on paying them. He was told it can't be stopped until he clears the loan.

They should just send those fintech companies especially the chinese shark loans away from Nigeria to stop these uncultured recovery defaming method..O..Its more harm than any good. You are even a slave to them when you take their loans no matter how good record you have been patronising/helping their business as many now avoid them to make them too much profit/money. One default dey drag u on the ground like a common criminal even involving your whole family

1. Unbelievable high interest rate
2. Just 7days to repay almost half of the money u got like if it's easy why don't they maybe go make double of the money themselves without using baits to help them make money
3. The loan amounts are usually useless like 1500,2000. You have to keep borrowing for a long time before you get something tangible

And many more red flags. I no get time
And you think people won't criticise the government if they try sending off these fintechs..

Who told you they don't have intention to pay?
Someone took a loan and expects salary on 30th and it didn't come. In Nigeria salary of most jobs doesn't have fix date except banks and some private firms. So the person pleaded with the loan shark to exercise patience and also know that overdue fee is being added which the defaulter will pay, yet the loan shark still went ahead to message contacts as if contacts will pay him. Who does that? Anybody taking loan has intention to pay but if they couldn't pay when is due, call them and know why. Not texting contacts. Is defamation so stop it.

I do not support sending messages to the defaulter's contacts but it is what it is and if the measure brings results, so be it.

Typical Nigerians do not intend to repay loans, they see it as 'free money', if you don't smack their backs, you'd lose your investments.

There are other ways to make defaulter's repay though, but this seems to be working, so be it.

Nigerian criminals don't like embarrassment, but they want to fleece innocent business men and women of their hard-earned money...how funny.

Say NO to crime bro

.

What you are too dumb to realise is that there are many other lending apps in Nigeria that are duly registered with the government and can block funds entering into your account if you don't pay up.

Some will even ask you to register 2 or 3 of your friends and family members that can be called in case you don't pay up. They will call the People you register before giving you the loan to be sure everyone is on the same page.

These ones will never stoop so low to be contacting innocent people that never knew when the transaction took place.

You are a full time Ọ̀dẹ̀ Òpònú.
I don't do loan shiiit.. So Mr boro boro go pay who you owe and let me be.. I never sent you to boro abi kilode. This is why many people who wants to help won't do so ,cux of rippers like you

You don't do loan, but you reason like a dumb fool with sawdust brain.

However, borrowing is not a crime so long a done pays as and when due.

Stop talking like a fool.

My advice to any of u that borrowed or want to borrow from all those loan app is to delete the app from ur phone once ur loan has been approved and disbursed to ur account, by so doing they won't be able to have access to ur contacts and messages wen d loan is due or wen u default the loan agreement grin grin grin

The question is, after defaming the person's character, what next? Will the debtor pay the money?
Re: Loan Apps Send ‘Shame’ Messages To Close Contacts Of Loan Defaulters by Prenonjebose: 6:08pm On Oct 15, 2021
Two sides to the story. Don't go collecting such ridiculously high interest rate loans. I need to add that there are loan defaulters who genuinely want to pay back, and there are others who are unscrupulous. On the other hand, such tactics adopted by this fintechs to notify persons who were not guarantors to the loan in such abusive and demeaning language will overtime kill the business itself.

If you want to take their loan, use a phone with no contact, download contact generator and generator fake contacts, obtain your loan and let them text those contacts. How can you give loan with such interest and expect people to pay? They capitalise on Nigeria economy to embarras people. F00ls

Like he said there are better ways of loan recovery, you have to be a tout to support such mode of doing business. If person dey owe you there are legal ways to go about it, ask sokoloan how far dem bill them 10 million naira for that bullshit, next one na to close the app.
I agree with you, you don't harass people for them to pay back loans, it doesn't work that way, branch is a good loan app they don't harass me infact am doing business with them aside the loan, am saving on investment plan with them on 20% interest, which Nigerian bank can offer me that none highest Nigerian bank give on interest is 2%

That's the mentality of an average thieving Nigerian.

He will borrow but refuse to pay back even when he has the money

Please, don't give such terrible advice.

A loan should always be repaid. It allows the lender to pay staff members, as well as give loans to other people. If everyone borrowed with the intention not to repay, the lender's business will go bankrupt.

However, the lenders need to be strictly regulated. These ruffians have not one bit of respect for personal data. Perhaps, they don't understand the ethics that guides personal data.

Go and pay what you owe. It is people’s business bloody liar. You have not paid anything. I have friends who opted to asking people to open bank accounts for them and they don’t use their accounts anymore cos they don’t want to pay what they owe.

God bless you. They shamed me a week ago for a loan of 10k which i already paid half of it. I told the idiot to wait until i close from work but he went ahead.
I have paid them in full. But i will personally submit my petition against 9ja cash to NITDA next week in Abuja.

The real fact is that you had no real intention of paying the other half.

The only reason why you rushed to pay the balance is because they shamed you.

I have worked in credit administration in a finance institution before so I have first hand experience of how Nigerian debtor behave
