Job Description

Founded in 1999, AJ is a justice advocacy group working to defend the rights of equal and non-discriminatory access to courts of law, expand access of marginalized people to equal and impartial justice, attack corruption in justice administration, support legal struggles for human dignity and disseminate legal resources that help achieve these purposes.

We are currently looking for a qualified person to occupy this position.


Core Responsibilities•Manage programmes to strengthen core rule of law values

•Coordinate multilateral sets of actions directed at achieving the objectives of assigned projects within mostly challenging time frameworks.

•Utilizing a cocktail of interventions – such as research and investigation, as well as reporting, advocacy, litigation, and publishing

•Raise public concern on rule of law issues and generate pressure for correction or reform.

•Implement strategic plans to achieve stated goals, identify further opportunities for delivering activity goals, as well as direct the activities accomplishing the set goals.

•Prepare periodic reports of the progress achieved by managed projects and will work within an integrated and interdisciplinary environment, as well as interface with, and provide support for others working in a number of interrelated programmes.

•Work within the context of agreed performance benchmarks.



Qualifications
•Must hold a first degree in law and have at least two years post-qualification experience.

•Must demonstrate familiarity with managing projects of a similar nature and ability to achieve stated goals within defined periods.

•Must spend 3-6 months in Lagos but will ultimately be required to relocate to FCT Abuja.





Salary Range: Naira 1000000 to 1200000 per Year
