Useless network
The only network where data network can disappear for about 3 days as if you switched your data network...

the only service whereby if you on your data connection you will have to wait for 5 minutes before browsing.
The only network where there will be signal in your toilet, corner of your room and beside kitchen cabinet only..

keep that to yourself. Am using mtn,glo and airtel. As am typing this message ,am using glo network and is very fast. Many of you only good at destruction but when u are given opportunity you can't even do better. There are places where glo is better than mtn and Vice versa . I have been using this my glo line since 2003 and I never have regret on it. Some days back mtn was completely off while glo was working well.I am not saying glo is better than mtn likewise mtn is not better than glo.

I don't see that possible. These days that many of the masts are shared by different communication and network providers. Dead on arrival!

Demolition is our answer to everything. Would it not profit the country more if these masses are auction off? And the proceeds use for something better?

Like they just make it hard for businesses to thrive and the business owners in turn take it out on the consumers.

Hmmm.... the masts are above regulation height. Didn't the FG not know this all along? The masts would be dismantled because of failure to pay outstanding debt? If paid... the masts will remain in place?... above regulation height? Why wait until the debt is above 5 billion?... no alternative but to dismantle?... how about forfeiture? ... seize and sell?
They are not above regulation height. All they want is the money. If Globacom pays today, the masts will stay. They don’t even have sense to think that dismantling it will amount to a waste of resources and they will even spend to do so. Like you said, forfeiture and reselling is a better option. I can’t just imagine aviation authority charging a telecommunications company this much! Clearance height fee is a thing? Lol. It is well with Nigeria!

And how many billions of Naira will you allocate to dismantle all their masts and how will dismantling their masts help you to recover the money? If you want them to stop operating in the country since they have not paid their debt, oga give them a court order.

Na waa for global com oo...The company muztnbe lawless to be building mast without paying the neccessary agency .. cam they do that abroad ? These are the problem the nation is having with the local investors.. They.are too lawless and wicked.

Does this even make sense to threaten to shut down the company’s masts connecting over 50m customers? So once they pay, the masts will no longer contravene the height spec? How can you levy only one organization such humongous amount? Pls how has NCAA improved the air space and made it safer? The officials are more interested in money that they will still embezzle! Awon ole!

What about those the FG is indebted to?
Maybe they should consider demolishing government structures too. What is good for the 'greek' is also good for 'uganda'.

How does paying this levy eliminate the said risks to airplanes ?
My thoughts exactly. They mumbled up too many things in the letter. Illegal construction, non-renewals of license, air navigational hazard, and debt. Globacom paying up the debt does not in anyway mitigate the hazard the illegal towers pose to air navigation.

Which one is renewal of height clearance again. Once it is cleared initially, that ahould be it, why renewal again. All these multiple charges here and there is kiling business.
Seems like the mask 'grows' such that the new height has to be cleared again

NCAA is a REGULATORY & not an ENFORCEMENT agency na!
To enforce the consequences of the debt NCAA needs to go to court to recover its loot … erm debt!
Abi, what kind of lawless country is this na?!
Enforcement is actually a key component of regulatory activities, and notice that hazard to air navigation is also part of the issues raised, just that I honestly can't comprehend how paying up the debt will mitigate the hazard

Reminds me of how ghana government dealt with glo when they where setting up base stations all over ghana... Mehn glo don suffer, seems they dont pay debts on time.

Naso dem dey owe almost every landlord for ghana for rent.

I started researching this now and I just stumbled on your comment. I was just briefed by a client yesterday about this same issue of Glo's refusal to pay rent to my client while still maintaining their facility on my client's property.
