This is delusional. Why? As long as Buhari is determined to make sure the Naira's value is not market determined, this projection is merely a pipe dream. 5% economic growth is uninspiring. 5% is so easily achievable for a country like Nigeria whose per capita income is about $2, 000. China was doing about 10% annually for decades. Nigeria between 1999-2013 was doing an average 6% annually Obviously, I suspect the recent 5% growth rate in the recent quarter is what has inspired this development plan. 5% quarterly growth was nothing special considering that the previous year, all economic activity was shut down to a lockdown, so a growth rate was inevitable. I also doubt 5% growth can create 25m jobs. This is just wishful thinking. Growth of 8% is what government must seek to create that kind of job creation. This government has the worst economic since 1999 all because Buhari prefers to hoist on the countey his sham economic policies rather than listen to his technocrats. Worst in the economic field, he has not even hired the very best |

Oh, what a good agenda! But please leave the plan for the succeeding government. We have had a bellyful of your governance. |
