Please can someone tell me how a copy of a passport is attested for the UK embassy? |

Your post is not clear! There can not be a copy of a passport, only the original document. Also do you have a new biometric passport or the old oudated type. Give more information please. |

attest means the copy of the passport data page have to be signed |

For example, if someone is sending you his/her data page of a passport for a visiting visa processing, then your sponsor has to sign (attest) the data copy of the passport and send it to you thru post or mail (advisable post) |
