The acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has continued to live as a caged man after the Federal government intercepted him from Kenya on 27th June 2021. For over three months now, the leader of the proscribed group IPOB remains in DSS custody far from public eyes. As t stands, the last time his supporters saw him or hear him speak directly to them was about 3 months ago. 

Although his lead counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, and Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor have continued to update his numerous supporters who are majorly from the South-East region, of his recent health conditions, things do not however seem to be going well for the vociferous leader of the separatist group, IPOB. The young man seems to have humbled himself in the eyes of the Nigerian security agency, DSS due to his personal experiences in the DSS underground cell. The plea by the agitator to be transferred to Kuje prison was refused by the court and now, Nnamdi Kanu will face Justice Nyako once again on Thursday.

If you recall, Justice Nyako had on June 29 ordered Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to remain in DSS custody till October 21 when his case will be heard by the court. As it stands, opinions are still divided as to what the court might decide.

Another adjournment as FG just filed amended charges against Kanu. The judges would need to take their time to look into it

The manor thing that might happen here is that he will be remanded in prison. That fresh charge will take longer time and the federal government will capitalize on it using delay tactics. I see him staying in prison till Buhari leaves office if Igbo leaders don't intervene.

Everyone knows there'll be another adjournment.

The FG should at least present him in the court to douse tension.

The judiciary is weak. They may postpone the trial on frivolous reasons.
