I'm a Muslim, I'm a Christian, I'm Pentecostal, I'm Catholic, I'm Hindu, and it goes on and on,

Simple question, what makes your religion right? Why do you believe in the Bible? or the Quran? or whatever else you believe in,

TRY TO REPRESENT WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN IN YOUR POSTS. NO INSULTS PLEASE

I'll roll the dice.

I was a Christian by birth, became a believer by choice. I was born into a family that goes to church every Sunday, and it just became a part of my lifestyle. Unfortunately, as I grew older, I started questioning a lot of things, and they just didn't add up. I witnessed a lot of hungry pastors preaching, friends who were leaders of Christian fellowships who were Leaders in church and club activities. Then I lost two of my siblings and at that point, I stopped believing in a God.

3 years later, I find myself in a local RCCG church. The pastor preaching is educated, a millionaire, but has no children after so many years in marriage. I was bothered. How could someone so sensible still serve God? I got closer to him, and the Word he preached had so much depth I just got attracted. It wasn't the usual senseless crap one hears from the pulpit these days. This was preached with real affection.

Needless to say, I finally gave in after a month of struggling within myself, and being on the other side once, I understand how those who are not Christians view Christians, especially the ones who fall for any gimmick as long as 'the blood of Jesus' is mentioned.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. He is the way because in Him, you have an assurance, not just because you believe, but because you know. He's the truth, because the Word of God enlightens.

He's the life because in Him, you learn to love which is the point of life. The parable of the Good Samaritan is one of my favourite stories. It's amazing how Jesus doesn't commend the Priests or the Levites, but commends someone who wasn't even supposed to be a part of God's children, the Israelites.

Jesus would treat the businessman who comes to the cross the same way he would treat the rapist who also believes in Him. He shows no favoritism. He loves YOU, he LOVES me.

If we would just look beyond the doctrines bandied around today which Jesus never obeyed Matt. 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them", we would see the purpose in the life of Jesus. No church is right. Only Jesus is right. No doctrine is right. Only Jesus is right.
