In an effort to take their heinous criminal activities to the next level, kidnappers & armed robbers have devised another new trick of getting information on their potential victims.

They resorted to deploying their informants to various filling stations, especially along Kaduna-Abuja highway, disguising as beggars and hawkers where they observe the unsuspecting travelers who stop at filling stations either to refill their vehicle tanks, to rest, to eat or pray before continue on their various journeys.

The disguised informants were trained by their criminal masters on how to spot who is likely rich for potential kidnapping or robbery by looking at type of a car they ride, the clothes they wore, the type of phone (s) they carry, how expensive their shoes and watches would be, or how much they spent in buying fuel, food, souvenirs, or how much alms they gave out to beggars as alms.

Subsequently, the informants will transmit the information to their employers there are rich travelers in so so car, with so so color, with so so plate number & they left so so filling station at so so time.

As a result of this, some filling stations have already banned begging and hawking at their premises.

The essence of sharing this information is to warn travelers to know what to wear while traveling, where to stop, what to buy, from whom, what to show to the world, etc. To forewarned is to forearmed. And "Stitches on time," they say, "saves nine."
