When the UGM came to where they took cover, they pointed the gun at her and ask her were is the man that ran here? She told them the man has ran away by then Chioma was already on the floor gassing for air before they left them. Even when they left she was shouting for help but fear could not allow people come closer, by then Chioma has already lose much blood. This was her story to US at home and what she told Chioma parents.

You people romanticize the notion of ibo heroes. You have no heroes, you've never had, nobody is fighting for you, nobody ever has, the ibo psyche is individualistic and always has been and it is reflected in the governors and your politicians today. The ibo man fights for himself and himself only. Zik (whom I have a lot of admiration for) wasnt fighting for the ibos, he only remembered he was ibo in 1952 when he was defeated in the Western region, he wanted to be president of Nigeria realized he couldn't achieve it in the west so moved his base to the east. Ojukwu wasn't fighting for the ibos, he was fighting for power for himself. Kanu isnt fighting for the ibos, he is fighting for fame, relevance and power for himself and the monies (donations) that come with IPOB, the man was a drifter with no purpose except fraud before IPOB. Of all 3, Zik was the only only one worth following, he genuinely wanted progress for the country and was worth following because what was good for him was good for the ibos but he only remembered Ibo because he couldn't achieve his goals from the SW, so he moved to the east where the ibos gave him the platform. Ojukwu and Kanu are outright selfish MFs using vulnerable followers and sacrificing them for their personal goals and in the process dragging the ibos backwards. People have a right to self determination but there were signs during the civil war and actions by IPOB today that life under ojukwu and particularly Kanu would be oppressive for the common ibo man dying for them.

No leader truly "protecting" his people would lead his people down the path Ojukwu and Kanu took. They are both like pastors selling you a dream of a promised land and salvation while they grow fat on your tithes and your situation worsenes!!
