Job Role: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

We require a BDM with deep knowledge of sales and marketing in the health and wellness segment of the Pharmaceutical Industry. The candidate must have the ability to present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new products, identify opportunities for campaigns and distribution channels that will lead to increase sales.

Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

The person must have desirable insights on regulatory requirements for NAFDAC, SON etc.

Job Description

Discuss with relevant authorities and strategic partners to ensure the establishment of the brand.

Provide operational support to the sales team; also responsible for lead generation, increase coverage, distribution and market penetration of new product sales utilizing the sales process to achieve Volume, Value, profitability and cost savings- targets.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive Sales Team effectiveness on the Job.

Strategically interface with marketing team for effective execution of sales-oriented initiatives to deepen brand penetration.

Establish productive and professional relationships with the Trade Partners to ensure close monitoring of sales personnel in assigned customer accounts both in the open market and in the Modern trade.

Expand and grow new customer base with emphasis on Pharmacy Outlets, Chain Pharmacy Outlets and Bulk buyers.

Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Forges relationship that will enhance the establishment of the brand by coordinating necessary documentations and requirements; negotiating modalities in line with our core value and as demanded by our business operations.

Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up to date with latest medical/pharmaceutical data

Job Requirements

o Must have a bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of sales or marketing experience in the pharmaceuticals industry.

o Experience in launching new products and managing a high-performance sales team in an FMCG/Medical Organization is desirable.

o Demonstration of high level of personal merit and performance at a senior level is essential.

o Demonstration of the capacity to lead and develop initiatives is essential.

o Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.

o A Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of sales or marketing experience in the pharmaceuticals market.

o Strong communication; writing and team management skills

o Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude

o Available to travel as needed

o Attention to detail.

o Ethical and trustworthy
