Being poor is not true . Beans is more expensive in the market now compare to rice . Most people believe that beans is poor man's food but I think it's all depend on how it's prepared. A pastor once visited us back then and requested for food but when we told him what we got was beans , he exclaimed that beans is poor man's food. We just laughed and begged him to take a little . To cut the whole story short, this pastor ate very well and took some home . I'm talking about beans cooked with liver, beaf, kpomo, smoked catfish, rusty crayfish, pumpkin leaves .
Most bachelor eat beans a lot , not because we don't have money, we can cook it with ease (not talking about about timing)

I eat bread and beans/plantains like up to twice daily ..... It's a real hustler food .... I can't see myself buying Rice or fufu/semo/garri outside at the restaurant .... To me it looks like waste of money cos I no go belleful.

I go just use that money buy bread 250, beans 200 plantain 100 .... With two cold pure water.... Morning and night .... Am done for the day!!!!
