At least one Manchester United player reportedly told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he is the ‘issue’ after their 5-0 drubbing by Liverpool on Sunday.


That humiliating result at home to their arch-rivals means the Red Devils have now only taken one point from their last four matches in the Premier League.


United were poor throughout as Mohamed Salah hit a hat-trick, with goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota adding to the embarrassment for Solskjaer and his players.

Solskjaer said the defeat saw United hit “rock bottom” but believes he is the right man to continue at the helm.


There are already rumours that he could be replaced before their next match against Tottenham in the Premier League with Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane among the names linked.



And now The Athletic write that Solskjaer’s speech in the dressing room after their match against Liverpool was badly received by some of his players.


The Athletic claim:
‘Solskjaer asked his team for their thoughts on the issues causing United to leak chances week after week. More than one concluded that the answer was the man posing the question.
