If you want to be giving service to customer (working alone) is good to learn it from road side because we have an expert in some of them an also if you have already had certificate in that field is great opportunity for you. but if you don't have is better you try and gain admission to any higher institution that can give both theory and some practical orientation. because you will need to work with any big firm/sector. as a contractor or full/part time workers henceforth while in school you can look for any big firm start doing intership or look for some standard workshop/roadside mechanic to make you differ from others. best regards wish you good luck in engineering career.
