A lecturer in the University of Uyo has been suspended by the school’s management, after a mental health assessment showed that he was suffering from a mental disorder.

The lecturer whose name has been withheld for security reasons was compelled by the school’s management to have a mental health assessment, after a series of complaints by the students in the department.



Speaking with YeyeNews.com reporters, one of the students in the department spoke about the lecturer’s attitude: “He always bragged about his educational achievements in class and constantly reminded us that the best grade we could ever get in his course was a “C”, because he believes “A” is for God and “B” is for him. That is why we reported him to the authorities.”
