I am a dark person. I want to even out my skin tone as its not even on my face. How do i even it out without getting a dark patch at the side of my face.What cream or beauty treatment do I use?

@suze,it is not too nice to recommend products especially if it has to do with body cream or facial cleanser cos what might work for me might not work for you,
I will advise you take time to study your skin cos most of all these facial cleanser contain sylicic acid that fights acne ,i use Glycerine and Rose Water by Miss Avon,its very good for me.

For body cream,if u have to use anything,look out for a cream that has sunsreen and SPF 15,maybe u expose urself to too much sun,

Hey suze, are the dark patches due to spots or just sun burn?

I dont know if you've noticed, but i noticed that when people use creams on their faces for evening out skin tone., if you check d side of the face or just under the eye, you would notice a darker portion compared to the rest of the facial skin, I want to even out my facial complexion, but i don't want to have this dark patch. Don't really know what causes it.

Well, I dont know if this will be helpful, but you have to get a good sunscreen for your face. Any sunscreen with SPF 15 or 20 is adequate to protect your skin from the sunrays. Right now to ensure that my skin tone is even, I use a good facial scrub. I have never really trusted all this fade creams so I prefer to use a scrub even though its a slower process but the end results are worth it.I also have a microdermabrasion kit at home which I use twice a month. What this does is that it removes dead layers of skin from your face to allow a newer skin layer to come out. If there are any dark spots with time they fade away completely because they are stripped away with the old skin layer. ( I hope I dont sound like a freak ). I hope this helps.

Hi Seabreeze, Are you residing in Nigeria or abroad? I ask because it will be easier to find about more about the kit and its more affordable to buy it if you are abroad. The microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that is popular in day spas or done by dermatologists. but the thing is the procedure is expensive and sometimes can produce harsh results. So some beauty companies decided to produce an at home kit that women can use which is more affordable and the procedure done at home is lighter and less prone to allergic reactions. Right now the brand that comes easily to my head is Neutrogena. I have never used it. The brand I use is by beauticontrol, a company that specialises in at home spa products for women, as well as other cosmetics. I love their products cos its like having your very own spa treatment without spending hundreds of dollars. You can google microdermabrasion and read more about the procedure. I hope I could help. PS: the reason why most of the beauty treatments (acne facial washes, alcohol free toners) we women use never seem to produce the results we want is because our skin has been clogged up by so much dead cells, and once in a while you need to remove them to make way for newer skin and for the products to penetrate deep into our skin.

Hi, i use the Miss AVON rose water and it really suits me, Have u also heard of BIOCOTEN cream ,a friend of mine introduced me to it,i rub it on my face as cream,

Its really very good but one thing with all these things is that it works for one person and it dosen't work for another,

But,i think u should try it and get back to me cos i'm a living witness to it.

You are right! Almost everyone's skin is different and responds differently to different products, hence so many options in the market. Its tough finding what works for you but once you do, my advice stick to it and you will see results!
