Francophone Africa- Algeria Bans French Language. by Whalesharkcroc: 11:09am On Nov 01, 2021
Latest news that isn't headlining as it should. I wonder why.

In a direct blow to France's neo-colonialism in Africa, Algeria has decided to ditch the French language in favour of Arabic and English. In the last week, three government Ministries in Algeria have issued directives that all their internal correspondence, documents and official statements must now be in Arabic, not French. And lately, for the first time ever, daily news was broadcasted in English, to the dismay and anguish of the French people.
This, I believe, is the best news coming out of France Afrique lately. And I commend the Algerians and encourage them to pursue this to the very end, and free their nation from the dirty influence of a disgusting France.
** it is stupid to continue crying neo-colonialism whilst keeping the very instrument that is used to enslave you **
Languages are symbolic, because they are the means of communicating, connecting with and influencing people, educationally and culturally.
In the case of France Afrique, Rwanda proved that neo-colonial control can be broken by discarding the controling tool, which is the language. For many francophone African countries, they need to follow the footsteps of Algeria. Interestingly, the Algerian govt never announced a policy to scrap the French language; their president hasn't given an order. It is the Ministers that are leading the charge. The president is kept secure. For West & Central Africans, enough of the cowardice and fear in their Presidents. A real president should take steps to protect his nation and people, regardless of any threats.
Francophone African countries need to grow the balls to order the compulsory teaching of English language at the primary & secondary levels of education. And the compulsory use of English language in all govt establishments. That is the way forward to break a toxic neo-colonial control. Until then, they should continue enjoying coups, assasinations & looting of their natural resources.
Finally, someone once asked why English? Well, English is the global language of trade, education and communication.
It was owned by the English people, but now, it has grown beyond the ownership of Britain. We now have American English, Canadian English, Australian English, Queens British English, African English, NIgerian English, pidgin English, etc. The English language now belongs to the world, having been domesticated and localized by many nations. And the opportunities inherent in English fluency are limitless; you can travel to US, UK, Canada, Australia, Nigeria, SA, etc and live, study, work in those countries. Compared to speaking French, you are tied to France only and a bunch of poor African countries. And being tied to France only means being in neo-colonial slavery, because you can't link up with other nations.
Francophone African countries must now take steps to dump the French language. If there is any fear, then all Francophone countries should plan and take the steps together as one bloc. That way, they can evade being targeted.
No one would save Francophone Africa, if their Presidents/ministers wouldn't act as men who have balls.
Like Rwanda, like Algeria, ditching France is
a goal that must be reached. Following Algeria's steps, which countries are Next? We are watching.

Way to go!
But the francophone West African nations are cowards they won't even dare out of fear.

Apart from the politics, English is the world's number one language and having mastery of it can open doors unlike French.
