henryvic: I don’t think there’s anything you can do to speed it up. You could try calling them but they may tell you it’s still within their normal processing period. When in January did you submit? |

Hello everyone. Thank you for the great works. I am 26yrs old and I also have a masters degree. I have evaluated my credential and also written IELTS (awaiting results). Hope to hop into the pool as soon as results are released. However, my area of concern is, I am a single mum of an 8 months old baby I want to take with me. Will adding her affect my application in anyway? I heard that someone's application was once refused because she couldn't convince IRCC that she could work and also take care of her child. What do you suggest I do? I really can't trust anyone with my baby. |

OluwatoyinTee: I dont know how this applies to you application, cos i am sure you are applying for FSW. However, From IRCC website they are certain criteria you have to meet and non of them intails you taking care of your child. So pls always go to the website and verify info and not hearsay. I feel there are more issues u should concern yourself about as a single mother and not what you just mentioned |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by nymphomaniac(m): 2:30pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
OluwatoyinTee:you are fine so long as you can prove that you can take care of a family of two. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by ednut1(m): 3:12pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
OluwatoyinTee:lol. Convince ircc That is 100% false. The only issue is the father of the child must consent to you taking the child with you. Few years ago a 9ja woman forged the consent of her ex husband and was caught after the man petitioned IRCC. The children were ordered to return to Nigeria . |

Thank you for your reply. I'll also like to know what other things I should prepare for. I wouldn't want challenges hitting me left and right as a new immigrant. Looking forward to your response. Rapture07: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by seunpinky(m): 3:39pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
OluwatoyinTee: Just ensure you get a valid/original consent letter from the father of the child stating that he has voluntarily granted u permission to travel with the child. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Mopefe: 5:25pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
henryvic: Hmmm na wa oo, are you an Indian? Because it's the Indians that will submit application this week and start calling IRCC for an update. You submitted Jan 30th which is not even up to 14 days yet you have been asking for BIL update. Moreover, did you submit a PR application through express entry and didn't submit your client information for medicals? If so, just expect a returned application at R10 check. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Mopefe: 5:33pm On Feb 13, 2023 |
OluwatoyinTee: Scale through the PR application before talking about life in Canada. Most important is the consent (form IMM 5604) from the father. |

henryvic: Okay, you should give it at least 20 days after your AOR. I don’t think there’s any cause for concern yet at all. My husband’s BIL came in 18 days post AOR. Go ahead with your medical; one doesn’t affect the other. |

seunpinky: She can also use sole custody documentation if she has that. As for her ability to care for her baby while working, babies that have clocked 1yo can be enrolled at daycare centers while the mother works so IRCC shouldn’t reject her application on the basis of “who will care for the child?” Her primary concern should be evidencing that she has the rights to travel with her baby and also can conveniently finance POF for family of two (and hence afford daycare). 1 Like |

Hello guys, Somebody directed me here from the Canada student thread. My wife to be studied Medicine in Morocco for 8 years on a federal government scholarship, and she just graduated last year November, and she's very fluent in both English and French, because the medical degree was done in pure French language. The only job experience she has is the 1 year clinical experience in between her studies. She's 27, about to be 28 this July. Somebody said that we should try the EE instead of applying for masters for her, that she can get ITA and even PNP from many of the provinces. Please, considering this profile, do you think she has any chance of getting it? N:B she has about $8,000 combined in both her Morocco account and Nigeria Dollar account, as savings she could make over the years from her clinical job and regular $500 monthly she got from the Federal government as scholarship money. 1 Like |

Good morning all, I will like to know,if I can use different noc or teer? Also if I work for few months in different company, the two company all sum up to a year, that is if I put it together, can it go through? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Queenhadassah: 8:48am On Feb 14, 2023 |
Jhigan: 1 year work experience won't get her a high CRS score, But since she's bilingual, she should write both IELTS and TEF. She also needs to evaluate her degree result. What about you? Do you have a degree? Do you plan on evaluating your degree and writing IELTS? IT would boost her CRS score if you do. Applying with an accompanying dependent spouse would reduce her CRS score unless the spouse writes IELTS and evaluates his/her degree. $8000 is more than enough to cover her application fees and biometrics, but proof of funds, no Read Page one of this thread to really understand what I just wrote 6 Likes |

Hello, I am trying to fill the NB information session, I am asked for my NOC, I know it's a five digit code, but they are asking for a four digit code, I don't know what to do about it, is there any recent changes to the noc, aside the teer changes. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Profgordons(m): 4:25pm On Feb 14, 2023 |
Jhigan:I tried to message you privately but you didn’t respond so I’ll drop my advice here and it is not far from what others have mentioned. My wife is also a physician and it is a bit of long walk. Firstly she needs to start getting experience now, she can get that in Morocco or Nigeria but her best option is Morocco because she has a residency card. With Nigeria when she returns, she still will be required to do a bridging exam with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, I know it has been an annual exam, not sure if it is more frequent now and surprisingly, the pass rate is very low! Without that she can’t work as a Medical Doctor in Nigeria. While she’s getting that experience she has to verify her degree with Medical Council of Canada through https://physiciansapply.ca/ this can be another long process depending on how quick her school responds. Finally IELTS would be required but if she has the fluency to write TEF/TCF which are French exams, it will reduce how much work experience she would require. Note 1: Medical Degree is categorized as professional degree so it is equivalent to MSc also Clinical experience can be claimed as work experience if it is up to one year and was paid no matter how little. Note 2: Practicing Medicine in Canada as a Foreign Trained Physician is as difficult as almost impossible, she needs to know she will have to find a different pathway for survival while attempting to practice. Note 3: The best path way for Doctors is to go to the UK, get their residency done before moving to Canada as there is a bridging program for UK trained doctors. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
