Hello good people

Please help me!

I submitted my passport to Vfs Abuja through UPS Courier. UPS has already confirmed that it has been delivered.

However, after 2 days , I am yet to get a tracking number or mail from Vfs.

Is this normal? Or could something be wrong?

Do you think it’s important for me to declare that I have permanent residence status in South Africa, even though I don’t live there presently?

Hi Everyone!

Please I need some help here.

About 4 days ago, I got a Refusal Letter in my application. The reason stated was that I did not upload some documents (Bank statement and Proof of Relationship with my wife) while I actually did.

I was first asked to upload on May 1 with a seven-day deadline. So, I uploaded on May 7 successfully. Then, on May 9, I got another letter which was a reminder to upload same documents with another seven-day deadline, stating that I did not upload as required the first time. I uploaded same documents again on May 12. And my application account reflects these uploads, though I did not get the usual email notification that they had received my documents.

After I got the Refusal Letter, I filled a webform to ask for reconsideration, attached the documents in the webform and called their customer care, they looked into it and sent me an Information letter just yesterday.

Now, the information letter stated that my application will not be reopened because I have insufficient funds from the bank statement I submitted when I do actually have sufficient funds. I'm applying with my wife as a dependant, and the present required funds for a family of 2 persons is 17,127 CAD which is equivalent to 5.8 million naira+ according to Oanda Currency Converter. I submitted a bank statement with a little over 6 million naira.

Though I've written them, I'm appalled by this second Refusal for a wrong reason.

Please, has anyone experienced this or does anyone have tips on how to get it resolved? I'd really appreciate all feedback I can get.

Kind regards!

I guess this is during a PR application. Even if you want to déclare and SA is not part of the questions, how would u answer a question whose options is not given? Anyways , during this Canada Journey, the simpler you make your application to be , the better. The more complex it is, the more questions and ADR u are inviting.

Sorry to hear this.

Get a lawyer on the case (some options are here: https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/248#114860720), you have 60 days from the refusal date to file.

As you did before, call IRCC and also consider sending emails to the PM and IRCC Minister in addition to the webforms: https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/278#115785736

Perhaps ask what exchange rate they used. Not sure how much above 6m you provided, but maybe the rate moved?

Hope it gets resolved.

The one thing IRCC does not like is not stating everything important. If you have a permanent residency from SA, that is still valid , meaning you were in South africa within the past 3 years, then You need to indicate in your application under Identification documents. Once you indicate that you have another countries permanent residency, then when you want to upload documents you will see the upload button for the Permanent residency you indicated.

I also have an SA PR, and I indicated in my profile. I then combined the copy of my PR document & my SA ID in one pdf and uploaded when I saw the button to upload it. I submitted and got my AOR 2 weeks ago. I have a couple of people as well who did the same and are already in Canada.

A permanent residency is not something you undermine. especially if your personal history shows that you were in South africa at some point..

Please what did you put as the expiry date of the identity book. Because there’s no expiry in the book or on the PR document
