BATON CHANGE, AS CRAWFORD VARSITY CELEBRATE 13TH CONVOCATION...

Just like other few world class degree awarding Institutions, Crawford University is no doubt one of Nigeria's pride in the continent of Africa for any prospective high school leaver around the world to look forward too for a higher degree studies. The University is a private institution with sound Godly morals, an arm of the Apostolic Faith Mission, was established in 2005 in the gateway state, Ogun state.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Reuben Jiya Kolo stated during the 13th Convocation also titled Unicorn13 that the University now have a new Bord of Trustees (BoT) and Governing Council.

" Only this last September, the Bord of Trustees and the Governing Council of the University were reconstituted and inaugurated to renew its vigour and effectiveness in the pursuits of the University's aspirations in the bold bid to remain globally competitive.

Prof. Kolo, while appreciating the meritorious contributions of the founding leaders and notable Personalities of the university, worthy of mention is Distinguished Professor Peter Akinsola Okebukola, OFR who completed his term as Chairman, Crawford University Board of Trustees last August. for his key roles in the existence of the university.

Also, speaking at the event is the guest speaker, Prof. Ayodele Atsenuwa, deputy Vice Chancellor, development services, University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Prof. Atsenuwa who engaged the graduands with the theme; Youth Innovation and Empowerment- Drivers for Transformational Change and Sustainable Development..

" In her remark, Prof. Atsenuwa charged the graduands to explore the positive use of ICT and innovation as the 21st century Learner is differently wired.

"The 21st century learner is differently wired and if not naturally so wired must be so socially engineered if he or she is to be relevant and optimally productive in the 21st century.

In the highlight of the Convocation Ceremony was the Awards and Prizes as Miss Fajulugbe, Kehinde Bolanle emerge as the Overall Best Graduating Student with a 4.90 (CGPA) Cumulative Grade Point Accumulative in Accounting Department. While 25 bag first class, 141 bag second Class Upper Division, and 127 made second Class Lower Division.

It was all joy and excitement as the Apostolic Faith Church Choir and Orchestra grace the occasion with a world class, spirit filled, and beautiful renditions.
