OP. If you don't like them don't wear them. Where God has not given you any law, he leaves it up to you to decide for your own self what you will do or not do. God is not out with lighting in His hand looking for opportunities to strike you down.

He has given you freedom with His standard, Jesus Christ, a standard higher above all of man's laws on morality. What He asks is that you submit to and obey His teachings and commandments.

Before the Christian Congregation was formed it's only things written in the laws that are taken as either sinful or not, but after Pentecost whoever chooses to become one of Jesus' followers must be submissive to the standard set by the Apostles.
That's why Jesus said:

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward which men press, and those pressing forward are seizing it! Matthew 11:12

Before John began baptizing people to humble themselves in expectation of the New Covenant all such things can't be viewed as sin but after John's introduction of the baptism all true believers must humble themselves to the standards set by the Apostles!
Christianity demands that each disciple must go out and preach in his neighbourhood, so if putting on earrings is not chaste in your neighbourhood then you need to consider it as wrong {Philippians 4:8} because it would deprive you from doing what Jesus commanded:


"Go, therefore, and make disciples" Matthew 28:19
