Buhari's government is evil. Buhari, Malami, Emefiele and Co are all dumb people. They just want to plunge Nigeria into more chaos amidst high spread unemployment and underemployment of youth population. This clamp down on crypto currency trading and related transactions will lead to more serious crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping, etc in Nigeria. It will worsen the already worst situation of Nigeria both in insecurity and economy collapse. How can you make most of your anti corruption policies to focus on youths who happens to be the backbone of any nation? Who engage in national economy damaging looting the most? Of course not youths. Who sponsors terrorism? Obviously not youths! Most national economy devastating money laundering acts are done by people above 40 years, why target these young people struggling to survive amidst dead economy and unexplainable unemployment rate caused by useless leaders forming anti money laundering crusaders. I don't really pity the Nigerian youths, especially Southern Nigeria youths whom these anti youth laws are mostly targeted at because they brought in this failure called Buhari and his evil gang and I am sure in 2023 they will still support APC their oppressor to continue destroying what is left of Nigeria. For those of you who think this is about FCMB, it is not just FCMB, it is a new policy enforcement order issued to all banks by the CBN. And I am sure the instruction came from that Sharia lawyer called Malami. Clamping down on youths trading crypto to survive will never end Northern Banditry nor Boko Haram. The people sponsoring terrorism are in Buhari's government making useless policies to further cripple Nigeria. Nigerian youths are too cowardly, if not that Nigerian youths, especially Southern youths of today are cowards, this is the right and perfect time to revolt against this evil Buhari government because as days rolls by, they will dish out more destructive policies to further impoverish the youths. They can only stop if they see a nationwide revolt by the youths. In fact Nigerian youths ought to pull efforts together and sue this government and possibly drag Buhari for human right abuses at the ICC, this is more than inhumanity. Jobs you didn't create for these youths to work. You killed the economy with your foolish policies. You have driven away foreign investors by allowing insecurity and widespread agitation for secession to enguff Nigeria. Inflation is high, underemployment is killing many Nigerian employees who combine their low paid jobs with side online hustles like crypto trading and social media marketing. You shutdown Twitter that was feeding so many youth influences and social media marketers. Honestly Buhari have reached the peak of national destruction and needs to be stopped now or else his remaining 2 years will be dangerous for Nigerian youths. 6 Likes 1 Share

Stop saying what you Dont know. Though a lot of work is ongoing to regulate cryptocurrencies the fundamental problem is it's use as a conduit pipe for fraud. 1) hackers collect ransom via crypto currency though they can be traced these days. Previously they could not. 2) over $400million dollars inflow came from United states to Nigeria via cryptocurrencies last year. The united states government petitioned the CBN over the lack of evident trades in goods or services to warrant such a huge amount of inflow to Nigeria. This singular reason prompted the CBN to ban banks from direct involvement with crypto to avoid blacklisting Nigetian banking institutions and probably sanctions. 3) the united states, China, United kingdom. And EU equality have regulations protecting their financial institutions from participating in crypto related assets. 4) Nigeria is a small economy and the CBN needs to protect hardworking Nigerian against the possibility of Negative consequences from sanctions form the USA. Imagine if Nigeria is treated like Iran or North Korea officially due to fraud related blacklisting. 5) a lot of publicity is made by the EFCC to show to the united states that Nigeria is actively fighting cyber crime just to prevent a possible blacklisting of all financial institutions in Nigeria. 6) previously funds were difficult to trace once converted to crypto and there was a fear that it could serve as terrorist financing. Terrorists actually need funds to run their operations and with the global cooperation against terrorist financing the world is now safer. Imagine if crypto was available during osama bin laden's time more bombings would have happened in the USA and other parts of the world. 7) finally the age bracket specified most likely has been after a scientific study of arrested cyber criminals probably in the last 10yrs. Most likely a memo would have originated from the CBN holding banks responsible with very stiff penalties and this most likely will be quietly implemented by All banks in Nigeria.Banks have already been mandated to know their customers. if banks Dont hold fraudulent monies for fraudsters and crypto currencies are equally banned it simply translates to frauster activities reducing drastically in Nigeria. 9) very successful frausters are actually well settled in turkey and Dubai as we speak. less successful frausters can move to Ghana or ivory coast Cameron etc. Theunbothered: 2 Likes |

I actually use crypto to make fast transactions which probably will be delayed or prevented by Nigerian banks. It's more expensive using crypto via p2p for payment but most times it's just the fastest and sure way. |

princemartinsG:Ignorance is a disease, you write so well but it’s unfortunate you’re not as intelligent as you type. 99% into crypto are not fraud, let’s say like 30% sha. Crypto between July till date has been crazy especially with the fact that most tech billionaires are now embracing it (Elon musk, Tim Cook and co) even some USA senators prefer to be paid in Bitcoin. A lot of coins did over 1000% within days meaning ordinary 100k would have turned to 1M, why? They’re new projects in line with the metaverse project and the people early on it get to buy into the project when it is still extremely cheap, just like the early people who got into the oil blocks during obasanjo regime, oya, I saw an update yesterday morning but I shrugged it off because I have too many coins in my portfolio and guess what? Those who bought $10 worth of the coins are presently dancing in money! $10 now worth $200, guess what will happen to those who bought $100 worth of the coins?? The above is for those with capital. What about airdrop? Airdrop are free coins given out to people to attract more people into project and guess what? $ENS airdrop was given and they all worth over $10k!! Free coins. The thing about cryptocurrency is like the early oil block, whether you hate it now, whether you condemn it now, on the long run, you will have no option than to embrace it because it will soon become the world Official legal tender, a UNIVERSAL RECOGNIZED CURRENCY 5 Likes 1 Share |

skj1377: Time to break down this wall of nonsense you wrote piece by piece. Though a lot of work is ongoing to regulate cryptocurrencies the fundamental problem is it's use as a conduit pipe for fraud Kidnappers collect ransome using cash, we should ban cash, they also use roads, we should ban roads and force everyone to walk to keep ourselves safe from kidnappers.
This is a complete lie, I don't know what gutter you got these numbers from. First the US government never petitioned Nigeria over cryptocurrency, this is a completely made up lie. Second, the 400 million dollar figure is the amount of cryptocurrencies traded from Nigerian wallets on global exchanges and does not translate to cryptocurrency profits from the US turning into liquid cash in hand. https://techpoint.africa/2021/01/06/nigerians-traded-more-than-400m-worth-crypto-2020/ Even at that if just 1% of Nigerians have cryptocurrency wallets that's a trade value of 200 dollars per person in hypothetical money. And third, this 400 million dollar lie is not why the government banned cryptocurrency, the figure is never referenced in any of the documents from the CBN. You are just reading and repeating nonsense.
The EU, US AND UK did not ban cryptocurrency, having laws to regulate the trade is just common sense. China banned cryptocurrency because they operate a communist economic system which forces the state to control every aspect of the country's economy. 4) Nigeria is a small economy and the CBN needs to protect hardworking Nigerian against the possibility of Negative consequences from sanctions form the USA. Imagine if Nigeria is treated like Iran or North Korea officially due to fraud related blacklisting. What the hell are you talking about? Nigeria isn't safe from sanctions, most of Nigeria's gdp comes from oil which is subject to sanctions. If the US wants it can also force trading allies to stop accepting Nigerian goods. Iran is also oil dependent and still gets sanctioned. The Iran and North Korea present a military threat to the United States, hence the sanctions. You're just talking utter bullcrap.
Yet other countries are fighting fraud without these draconian measures. You just contradicted yourself. Without cryptocurrency existing terrorism still got funded and wasn't traced so why are you blaming cryptocurrency on terrorism funding now? When Boko Haram members are killed it's cash that is found in their possession.
Why didn’t banks block Mudashiru Obasa's 64 bank accounts with fraudulent cash transfers until the EFCC forced their hand? Why are many politicians who gain millions allowed to keep their loot but they are going after the youth? Do you think the financiers of terrorism in Nigeria are under 30? When will the banks step in for that? 9) very successful frausters are actually well settled in turkey and Dubai as we speak. less successful frausters can move to Ghana or ivory coast Cameron etc. Yes and they are aided by corrupt cops like Abba Kyari, who the Buhari government is refusing to prosecute. 8 Likes |
