Jesus Said You Should Stop Using Perfumes — Female Preacher Warns Christians A female preacher has warned against the use of perfumes, stating that Jesus said Christians should stop applying it. The video which seems to be making the rounds online captures the moment a preacher vehemently warned against the use of sweet smelling substances on the body. Driving her point home, she backed her claim with a portion of the bible, Isaiah 3 verse 24, as she affirmed that on the last day, people who use perfumes will be burning and stinking like gutter. In her words: “Those of you putting perfume, Jesus said you should stop putting perfume on your body. On the last day in Isaiah 3 verse 24 instead of sweet smell, you’ll be burning and you’ll be stinking, you’ll be smelling like gutter”.

There's perfumes in roll on deodorant, creams, lotion, soap, including laundry soap and detergent. I guess we shouldn't even shower at all. 1 Like |

This is a lie from a woman who is confused. The woman that poured the expensive perfume on Jesus feet. Jesus did not rebuke her intact he encouraged her even when the desciples where trying to dissuade the act. 1 Like |

What she is saying is not in the Bible portion she mentioned. it's not even in Bible. To understand it better, read Isiah 3:16-24. The portion is talking about Christian ladies without the fear of God who walk with outstretched necks (PRIDE) and wanton eyes(seduction). The verses describes how their unrepentance will cause God's judgement, such that their sweet smells will stink. It's not the same as saying we cannot use perfumes to smell good, rather you should avoid pride, be modest. If perfume is bad, why did Jesus not rebuke the woman who broke the expensive alabaster perfume box at his feet? Why did God create sweet smelling flowers? Cuz most perfumes scents are gotten from plants. Very many people who are carrying heavy body odor or mild body odor, do not even know they have it, they make other people uncomfortable with their bad smell, so If you don't want to buy the perfumes, then produce it by yourself. 2 Likes |

Rather some of those who would be burning and stinking like gutter on the last day are those who would say Jesus said what He did not say. |

PastorM:Majority of those running around claiming understanding of what they term the spiritual are nothing but mentally challenged individuals using Christianity to mask their real issues. In Isaiah 3 vs 13 - 25, we read the details of God's judgement against the leaders and elders of His people. In Ezekiel 16 vs 1 - 14, the same God speaks of how He has loved His people and blessed them with even the very same things listed in the passage in Isaiah. It is a fool that will pretend he or she can lift God's Word out of context and still speak His Truth. |
