Stages- Poem by Nobody: 5:09am On Jun 07, 2011
From the cradle we crawl;
To the ground we fall,
Reposition to stand tall;
As we hear mother call.

Light glows,
And wind blows;
Cocks crow,
As we grow.

Intense creatures;
Fond of nurture;
So we mature,
And work on new ventures.

Emotions rage,
At each stage;
We pass and age,
And our thoughts we cage.

Step down from grace to grass;
As lone sojourners we pass;
No longer are we brave;
As we journey to the grave.

roll back the years
and clean your tears
dont despair for this soldier
it was almost over
but Jehovah
said he would prosper
and so I remain a one man army.

The soft whistle of the wind,
Shrill voice of the night;
Fog like a curtained theatre,
City where ice drops with rain,
Land of high plains;
Oasis of cold in the northern desert,
A fertile land to behold;
Forever I love, Jos.

J baby

Across the fields of Riyom
A tender wind announces
A land of natural elegance
Rocky surfaces sculpted by nature
We are close now my heart whispers
Love at first meeting it was
I wonder if any other has felt the same
A stranger I was but she held me
With open arms she held me close
With warm gestures she beckoned to me

Was it the three letters that captivated me?
Or the miracle of Bauchi that fascinates me
Could it have been the temperate weather?
Or the loving natives who accepted me

My dearest one
How time has separated us
War has kept us apart
Crises has changed your gait
The enchanted mien is no more
Only the terrors galore
Once a princess
Now regarded as a vixen
My heart is torn by our agony
Though if at you men huff and puff
Still my hat to you I doff

The beauty of Rayfield
The crowds of Dadinkowa
The stillness of Vom
The secrecy of Hwolshe
The bustle of Bukuru
The wildlife at Dong
The vegetables of Faringada
Railway stores at terminus
How I do miss you all.
