All you wrote would have made sense if this government is performing well in it's core functions of providing security, making the right economic policies and providing infrastructures. But , this is a government that has abdicated all it's duties yet some people are making justifications for this maladministration

Electricity meters are a property of electricity companies. They are to meter you to measure your consumption, and you are to pay for what you consume, not for their meters, cables, poles etc
Here, people even pay for transformers

Why not just leave importation or manufature of meters to anyone interested? I trust my blodas will sell meters for 10k.
What is the big deal sef, go to aliexpress and see meters for $10-15.
Imagine if you are improving 10,000 units how the price will drop from the chinese factories.
Everything here is a scam sha.

Smh. Go and ask people in the UK who recieved 'Free' installed prepaid meter in their residences the hell they are going through. To remove that 'Free' prepaid meter costs £90! how is it free ? No country in the world should keep our kind of ungodly subsidy system skewed against the larger proportion of the citizens living in the villages. It's unfair! If you want to keep enjoying your free subsidies, give the villagers their own equivalent of subsidies!
