Given to the rise in the consumption of Methamphetamine popularly known as Crystal or Crystal Meth, there's the need for this short write-up.

It may interest you to know that crystal meth is an extremely powerful central nervous system stimulant that's 3 to 4 times more addictive than cocaine. It comes in the form of a white or yellowish powder, or alternatively rocks that resemble shards of glass. It's water soluble with a sharp bitter taste. Meth is most commonly smoked, but it can also be snorted, injected, taken orally, or plugged rectally. Methamphetamine is, as you could probably guess, the double-methylated form of its parent drug, amphetamine. This allows it to cross the blood-brain barrier much more efficiently, releasing a much larger amount of dopamine (about 12 times more dopamine than that which is released during orgasm). The short-term effects of the drug include euphoria, grandiosity, irritability, aggression, psychosis, a sudden burst of energy, increased libido, dilated pupils, talkativeness, tics or twitching, and obsessive preoccupation with meaningless, repetitive tasks. The long-term effects of meth use include premature aging, tooth decay, ischemia, anhedonia, memory and thinking problems, excessive weight loss, substance-induced mood disorder or psychosis, addiction, and renal or cardiovascular dysfunction. It's excreted primarily through sweat and urine. Meth is a dangerous drug; tread lightly.
