By blocking rice from coming into Nigeria Abi?
So you are comfortable with the importation and free flow of rice into Nigeria?
How is your country going to be self sufficient in food production and for how long is your country going to depend on foods from other Nations?
My dear, you are only helping to sustain jobs and agriculture in those countries while your country people are jobless and hungry!

I'm laughing out loud rn cheesy red flags every where on this statement. Wait, why a doctor stand to be a minister of Agriculture and rural development. Did he and his principal jus realize the cost of stuffs in market Square as sky rocketed?..

Yet pple are sound Asif the statement made is beneficial to the populace. Look, believe this incumbent administration at your own peril. As a minister of agriculture or whatever, can't he state what and what plans they are bringing in to cushion the effect and cost of food stuffs.

This guy's are jus too docile, he spoke about a old program, that will be brought back, why bringing back when you can easily look forward to create a blue print or template that will rapidly spur to the fur and reduce the price at least by 9-10 % then follow thru with the plan.

This led administration and is sisters in politics are all monumental failures and it can only become more worse. This one's don't know how to stop or create an enabling environment for business to thrive.

Nigerian problems are Nigerian's and ha solutions are right here in Nigeria.

When you are increasing everything that would ensure food hike?
Reduce Dangote cement price to N1,850 first & start taking you serious.

Then 1 dollar equivalent to even N300.

Audio Reduction. Increase in Cooking gas, meter increase, fuel including diesel, high cost of transportation yet the farmer needs all these. How will he now acquire these if the prices of his produce is low? The multiplier effect of bad policies affected all sectors of the economy. YOU CANNOT GIVE WHAT YOU DONT HAVE.

My dear, you are only helping to sustain jobs and agriculture in those countries while your country people are jobless and hungry!

And since the borders was shut, as food security take shape in the country?.. look open the borders, let there be food security and an enabling environment for the populace, pple are hungry and dying of hunger. Bringing in stuff can be well monitor ed and manage via the borders. Then if this can be well managed, there can be balanced trade but Nigeria is a non producing country and so you can't expect full time production or a balance trade .

Buhari is only passionate about fulani affairs, every other doesn't concern him

Let him start by tackling banditry and Boko haram, automatically farmers will go back to their farms and food prices will drop from next farming season.

You can't be sponsoring terrorism and banditry that drives farmers away from their farm and at the same time claim you are passionate about agriculture
