Why Women Love Money And Why They May Be Right About It by docdes: 3:34pm On Nov 17, 2021
Men often accuse women of being money mongers. What I will always tell any man who says so is this: "If you were a woman, you could have loved money even more".

Why do I say so? Women are made in such a way that their lives are full of emergencies from their teenage years. The money they seek is meant to attend to these emergencies. Men cannot understand the kind of value women attach to money because men don't have these compulsory emergencies that women have.

For example, from 14/15 years of age, every girl starts 'bleeding' once every month. So, she needs sanitary pads. She also needs to eat better to restore the lost blood EVERY MONTH.

Again, she needs beauty items because the monthly 'bleeding' makes her feel extremely dirty unless she beautifies herself from time to time.

Even more, when a woman gets pregnant, she is in a constant state of emergency for long 9 months. When the child is finally born, that's another level of emergency because a child's needs must be satisfied immediately ALWAYS. And, you know, she is the one who must stay with the child unlike the man.

So, men, try to understand your woman's need for money. Instead of you to complain, allow her money needs to increase your hussle towards becoming richer and richer everyday.

To you ladies out there, don't allow anyone to make you feel like a harlot just because you like money. But also, know that too much of everything is bad. You can also find an easy way to make some money and support your man. Gone are the days when making money was a man's thing because it often involved doing hard work.

These days, there are many ways to make money without doing hard work. For example, you can even make money just by interacting with people on the social media. I wrote something about that recently here: https://www.nairaland.com/6852564/mf-bigroup-how-make-up

Let everyone try to see that his/her relationship has as much money as possible with as little hussling as possible too. This way, you can have enough time for each other without affecting your income. Let me know if I made sense to you or not.

This is really illuminating.

So you made all this up to buttress your reasons why women love money.

What stops a woman from getting her only shìt.

Is she handicapped that she must wait for a man?

Is that how the likes of Okonjo Iwela became the household name that she is by waiting for every Tom, Dick and Harry to contribute to her upkeep? If she did we will not be celebrating her today.

The same brains, eyes, hands and time that she has is the same assets women world over are blessed with.

Women stop selling yourselves short. Most of you are better than the men you demand money from.

Go and make a life and stop picking rich men like a market woman selecting okirika bend down select style.

If Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala tells you the kind of support she got from her husband that helped her to where she is today, you could just faint. Like when she would be nursing a baby and suddenly has an exam to take. The man may be forced to become a babyseater or employ a nanny by force.

Read my response to him and tell me what you think about it. Meanwhile, I'm male (to answer your question above). Mind you, I also told women to find a way to make money. I didn't tell them to rely on men completely. I'm only trying to say that they have good reasons to like money a lot. I hope I made sense this time.

What kind of support are you talking about here?

For starters, I know her a lot intimately so you cannot go tell me more about someone I know very well.

Now, did you know that she worked her butt off before she met her man?

She was a goal getter before she met her man.

All through her life, she has been something of trailblazer.

She was the best in her class all through, regardless of the fact there were intelligent guys. Did she need her man's support here?

She took it a notch forward and made a name for herself.

She would be become what she is today without her man.

Let's take it further, we have the likes of Linda Ikeji that has her own shìt. Did you hear her crying for support? She handles her affairs.

Ladies leave this entitlement mentality. Work....hustle.

Parents should train the girl child to stop being a leech.

Well, you gave your opinion on your observations and wasn't a bad thing. with your post you balanced the issue by talking some sense to both parties, I wasn't so pleased with the post from the beginning until when you balanced it. Thing is that it wouldn't be a bad thing for a guy to spend for his partner but that should be if the guy has the money but the bad thing is that girls makes it more like a compulsory thing for the guys which is not so fair, you can imagine when a guy sees a girl he likes he wouldn't have much courage to approach her cuz he knows that billing must follow. You gat me right??

Sorry, I find it difficult to agree with you that Okonjo-Iweala worked as you said because she comes from a wealthy background. However, if I'm wrong, can you tell us where and where she worked.

But, please, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that women shouldn't work or make their own money. I'm only saying why their need for financial support should be understood. For instance, when your wife is nursing a baby, you don't expect her to do her business even if her own entrepreneurial spirit is more than that of Jeff.

Child bearing must keep interrupting a woman's business. So, a man who doesn't understand this in order to fill up the gap is being unfair.

Now back to the matter at hand.

Op there's nothing wrong in a woman liking money and being right about it. Albeit, they should learn to work the money out themselves. You should stop promoting this entitlement mentality in women. This piece is a slap on the faces of many hard-working women.

I agree with you on your submissions.

But concerning her status.

It was not handed over to her on a platter. She worked real good. Her current job today as the Director of World Trade Organisation was handed over to her based on merit. Google this.

Heck, she is respected the world over. This is something you earn.

Now on her family - the Okonjo family been wealthy, it wasn't always so. It was by the daint of hard work that it all happened.

Her own side of the family would not be concerned rich by any standard. Middle class, yes
but not rich.

If you do your due diligence in Ogwashi...you will arrive at this.

It's by virtue of her own work that she got recognised by the OBJ administration.

Being a government appointee has its perks too.

And handling over of the Obi title to her dad also elevated her family and conferred wealthy status to her family.

I would say she did put her family on the map based on her accomplishments.

As long as the women don't leach off men in the name of being in a relationship, they can kill themselves for money for all I care!!

The fact that they go through all those things you mentioned up there, doesn't give women the right to become leaches!!

They have hands and legs, let them go and work and spend their money the way they please!!!

Thank God you said wife, not girlfriend...
Apart from child birth, what other thing partaining to women alone, is enough reason for her to not be independent??

And besides if my wife gives birth today, she won't quit her job....NEVER!! After her 3months maternity leave given to women she will go back to work ((some organizations gives more, some less)), I will employ a nanny and a house help to help out till further notice...
