Fellow GLO users, am sure you must have noticed the language used when you want to access your balance on your GLO network. You get to see this; " CALL NOT POSSIBLE, ACCOUNT BAL. IS 0.50 NAIRA. RECHARGE OR YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON, " Can you beat that? i don't know how you see it but to me it sounds as if am being threathened. losing my phone number is no big deal, i can always get another with another NETWORK if need be. Abi to recharge na by force? What do you think? |
Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by alheri(f): 12:45pm On Feb 14, 2006 |
Well I've never seen that message on my phone when I check my balance besides I like Glo network because its proudly Nigerian and would never change to another network. Maybe you should try and recharge more often. |

Am really surprised cause Ive been using Glo since they launched in August 2003 and my husband also uses Glo, My mum used Glo and one of my sister's used Glo at one time. I have also worked in a Glo shop before and Ive never come across that kind of message. Why not call CC and make a complaint about it? |
Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by layi(m): 8:57pm On Feb 14, 2006 |

Anyway, what i found out about glo is that their service is not good when the outsiders are trying to reach Nig. You have to be trying trying and trying before you get through |

No oh layi, I don't work with Glo. Like I said earlier, I worked in a Glo shop but that was when I was in Abuja. I really think Glo is trying. |

Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by goodguy(m): 8:52pm On Feb 15, 2006 |
The only thing that annoys me about glo is that they charge N20 for calling their customer care. What bullshyt!! |
Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by Farriel(m): 1:30pm On Feb 16, 2006 |
Ah, how often do you call customer care, if I may ask? Daily? |
Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by rikkyjen(m): 11:22pm On Feb 16, 2006 |
Its not how you call that matters, whether ,hourly, weekly or so!!!! , Its all about customer care, Afterall V-mobiles 111 is free from their network, so what are we talking about!!! the koko is glo's customer care is concoted horeshit!!! |
Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by alheri(f): 11:30am On Feb 17, 2006 |
goodguy: come on goodguy, its not like they charge N20 per min. Even if you spend 30 mins on the CC call, your charge is only N20 and I think that is Ok. |

Thelma2 i feel ur pain, @ Those who say they haven't seen such messages u must need 2 have ur heads examined. they send the message after a failed attempt at calling. they cant even speak good grammer, What is "loose your phone"? Re: Impolite Language Used By Glo Network by otokx(m): 8:12pm On Feb 18, 2006 |
i switched to glo cos i felt proudly nigerian but what do i get? a network that has a mind of its own and takes regular siesta in the uniport area. You can't call some MTN numbers, then the network just disappears at least once a week, its very terrible so i have to revert back to my vmobile. I still think MTN is the best though they do not give their clients any extra. |
