True love entails a lot of sacrifices but when your partner doesn’t appreciate your efforts, it means they are just taking you for granted. No one wants to feel like they are being taken for granted in a relationship. There are a lot of ways to avoid being taken for granted in a relationship.

1. Define your boundaries
It is very important to define your boundaries in a relationship. This include your likes and dislikes, what you can take and what you can’t take. There are certain lines that your partners shouldn’t cross. Boundaries and limits make your partner not to take you for granted



2. Let your no be no and your yes be yes
Sometimes when you are indecisive about things, this can create an impression that you are not focused. You need to be assertive. It’s okay to say No to your partner at times. It doesn’t mean you are selfish because there are times you will say yes as well. If you are always unsure, they can start to take you for granted.
