A renowned international organization based in California, United States of America, Bridge Publications Incorporated has donated 25 cartons of books to Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State.

The Global Partnership Manager of the organization, Mrs. Melisa Graffam, noted that that books which are in different titles, spanning various disciplines was part of their outreach programme to African countries.

While receiving the books yesterday, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sunday Elom, thanked the organization for their donation, adding that the book titles are very recent and in tune with the new global thinking.

He noted that the books will be useful to all the programmes and disciplines of the University, and used the opportunity to call for partnership between the University and Bridge Publications Incorporated in other areas.

The Vice-Chancellor who was represented at the handing over ceremony by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Dennis Akoh assured the donors that the books will be domiciled at the University main library so that staff and students will access the resources easily.



Also speaking at the event, the University Librarian, Dr. Juliana Akidi expressed her joy on the donation, noting that during the initial discussion, she thought it was not possible. She therefore thanked Mrs. Graffam for facilitating the relationship which led to the donation of the books to the University.

The books which were shipped into the country by the donors are in both soft and hard copies.
