Nigerians are mischievous in nature. Both the civilians and the military personnels.
While the military personnels have acted in their usual crude manner, did you noticed that the civilians in all their narrations refused to state the reason for the assault? I am 95% sure that though they have been maltreated over a case that should have been addressed properly without taken sides, they definitely know the reason why the soldiers invaded but choose to keep it out of their narration. The son while may have taken advantage of the father's traditional authority to offend someone who unknown to him, has influence at the barracks.

Always compare US Army with Nigerian Army, but never compare US citizen mentality with Nigerian Citizen mentality. US are 83% law abiding while Nigerian are just 15% law abiding. Have u forgotten the Soldiers are also Nigerians and have the same mentality with the Nigerian Citizens but. We Nigerians want them to be professional like US Army meanwhile Nigerian Citizens are behaving lawless, why can't Nigerian citizens emulate US as well. Ordinary to wear face mask was enforced by the government cox citizen don't want to comply. Nigerian would see pedestrian bridge but want to use leg cross the road.. where they write no smoking,, that is where Nigerians want to smoke.. etc But we re quick in judging the soldiers as if they re not part of Nigerians. But we should also know who lodged any report that led to the soldiers being there...hence the point 4.

Plus we don't know if the report was necessarily related to a civil case...for all we know someone may have accused the man of 'harbouring bandits, Boko, or so on'.

Either way, whoever lodged the report must be found.

2.However, I have a cold feeling that we are not hearing the whole story. There is a dispute somewhere, and the traditional title holder or someone known to him is in the midst of it.

3.The real culprit in this regard is the person who lodged the report that led to the soldiers attacking the traditional leader's home.

4.There should be an investigation, and I think that whoever made a report that led to the 'doxing' of the house should be punished.

It's unprofessional of the soldiers. Why would you assault someone simply because another person reported the person to you?

Well, it is called doxxing...and it happens in developed countries too (Someone in the USA is serving time in jail for providing a false report to the police about his 'enemy' that led to the police invading the 'enemy's house' on suspicion that he was a violent criminal...and the enemy's death)

That's why in addition to punishing the soldiers responsible for this act, whoever filed the false report should be punished as well. Which is kind of the point of my post.
