El Salvador has been cautioned by the IMF not to use bitcoin as legal cash because of the many dangers it poses. A day earlier, President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador had declared plans to develop a "bitcoin city" powered by a volcano and funded by bitcoin bonds. The announcement prompted the warning.
