Not everyone on naira land is a low life. Addis Ababa is a backward city when compared to other cities of east Africa that I’ve been to ( Nairobi , Dar es salaam and Kigali). Even some diplomats I worked with during my stay attested to how difficult it was living there and how they keep their families in Pretoria / Johannesburg. A city where you can barely find an ATM machine on the road. The taxis you find on the streets are similar to what I use to see in northern nigeria in 1997/1998.

I'm not debating that but calling it a war torn country is an obvious exaggeration. It has many of the same problems most African countries face but it is also far ahead of many more African countries.
