The United Nations has confirmed that after days of ethnic clashes in Sudan’s Darfur region, at least 43 people have been killed and thousands displaced.

The clashes erupted last week between Arab herdsmen and farmers from the Misseriya Jebel tribe.

The United Nations says more than 40 villages have been burned and looted. Dozens of people are reported missing including children.

Violence has erupted in Darfur since the signing of a peace deal last year, prompting the withdrawal of UN peacekeepers.

I still don't understand why African herders still practice nomadic systems of cattle-rearing even though it has been established that it is detrimental to the health and safety of the cows . To make matters worse ,these nomads trek very long distances with their cows and cause untold damage to farms and vegetations , hence creating strife with farmers

Herdsmen again they all behave the same everywere, they are wild, babaric, blood thirsty and always have the this mentality that all land belongs to them

They practise nomadic herding because of free food for cattle often from other people's farm.
It will never stop without sincere government ban or if the herders starts to fear for their
or cattle's life.
