The Anambra election has come and gone with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, declaring former Central Bank of Nigeria helms man, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, winner in the fierce contest that almost claimed his life.

Considering the history of election in the state, since the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) foray into Nigeria politics in 2003, do you think Prof. Soludo would have won the just concluded Anambra governorship election as a contender from another party aside APGA?

To make you understand it clearly, Andy Uba would have won under APGA. Even Buhari will win under APGA assuming he is an Anambrarian. Do you know the reason? No APGA elected governor in Anambra can defect to another party after being elected as governor because they are bound by strong oath not to do so before they are appointed as the gubernatorial candidate. Also, since Anambrarians knows this, they will always vote for APGA no matter who the candidate is. So had it been that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo contested under another party, Anambrarians wouldn't vote for him.

NB: Anambrarians didn't vote for Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo. They voted for APGA.

Thanks.

d last time soludo came out under a different party, he was beaten black blue like person wey steal.so your answer is NO. D reason is simply because anambra ppl trusts Apga to atleast deliver than any other party and since peter obi took over as an Apga governor-- they ve not dissappointed.Apga are not saints but they are angels compared to what pdp n other past partys did as governor .Added to that, Apga runs with a blueprint where every part of d state is allowe to rule as a governer.what they did during peter obi' s era is that they divided d 21 local government areas into 3.a part is allowed to bring out a governor every 8 yrs after which its d turn of another 7local gov area.its passed continually. As a governor , you are mandated to massivel develop your region b4 its d turn of another and thats y Obi concentrated in his region as a governor n obiano did d same n now Soludo wud do d same. During the last 2 gubernatorial election that Obiano won; Other parties copied what Apga did with zoning. And in this last election in anambra; almost all d other parties did the same thing again
.If you are from Anambra you wud find out that almost all d candidates that contested came frm a particular l .g. a.ie a particular 7 local government though some local government like aguata n nnewi south dominated because of more viable candidates.infact some candidates came frm d same town but contested via Different parties .thats d fact.
