Better they attack military bases than kill innocent masses. For the fight will be of equals, Ak47 vs Ak47. 48 Likes 1 Share

When they have intelligence that Bandits are en route to Aso Rock, rather than set an ambush or set a trap for them, our security agencies prefer to come out and warn the bandits to choose a later date. This communication could have been done internally, now they have only jeopardized a chance to apprehend the threat while the insurgents know there is a rat or Judas in their rank which they must fish out, jeopardizing future intelligence. One of my hypothesis as to why insecurity, economic downturn, Naira devaluation continues to thrive in Nigeria, is because the parastatals in charge of these essential functions are filled with incompetents lots and their greatest strength is fishing out and crucifying dissents. The smarter ones unable to gain employment, give themselves to gaming the system, that is why a Nigerian would be employed by the Chinese to help draft a trade policy that would absolutely sabotage the nation and give all of the advantage to the chinese. However, Musa and Ibrahim who should represent us, were begged to acquire their degrees in ridiculous universities, albeit abroad or locally and were offered the jobs without a sweat...all they do is show up and append signatures on behalf of the black rest of us with no inkling to diligence. How can Naira rise, when it is Musa brother that owns abokifx and the likes, and have employed an oduduwa chartered accountant and an Ibo economist to manage the abokifx? Even ASUU members, professors of economics and finance are applying these days to be a special assistant or adviser to a young Dantata. So yes, the smart ones are giving up on the nation that has often betrayed them and won't mind sabotaging the nation in order to have a decent(indecent) living. Do you know your medical doctor would abandon you for a better life, if the US or Canada or UK come calling? You would be stupid to tell your sibling to turn such offer down. Well, the impact of such decision is on millions of people, and those who have very little access to healthcare and shall now perish for want of one. Again, you would know that we have a very poor system architecture in Nigeria, when you try to game the system. Our security architecture is worse and I pray that the hypothesis is an exaggeration that isn't so true. But this is what those wanting to join our armed force are considering as reasons not to. A young colonel has just killed 20 insurgents, 30 bandits, 40 boko-haram members; and the commanding officer is the ideology assistant to Isa Pantami; so you must hope that the military rank looks away and not invite such officer, commend the officer and send the officer to a much more volatile and treacherous area with inadequate weapons or airforce jets like the one that killed our beloved COAS... so this remarkable officer gets ended in this terrible assignment or get ended the way the remarkable Arotile did. Her colleagues then, know not to be effective, because the reward is perhaps death... while the son of the political one get a posting to Akure and in the end becomes the only surviving one from whatever regular course he graduated from... so again, the intelligent ones and the strong ones, do not trust our armed forces or trust the armed forces to manage their lives. And so Boko Haram continues, bandits today, fulani herdsmen tomorrow, insurgents next week... and the bureaucracy only sees blessing in the security situation (catastrophe), they only see their allowances for attending the burial of a fallen soldier. 35 Likes 3 Shares |

They should not stop at alerting but move further by being proactive in putting up enough security measures to forestall the attack. We have seen situations were Intels are provided about an impending attack, security measures were not put in place to forestall it. At the end of the day life and properties were lost 2 Likes |

With my experience in this field, there are some information the public doesn't need or won't understand except you are into the system. I can categorically tell the people in the system that these attacks will not take place in short time but it wasn't technically analyse and interprets well for the system to understood. 4 Likes |

Forewarned is forearmed. In other words, If you know about problems, dangers, etc. before they happen, you can be better prepared for them. All terrorists must die in Nigeria. 2 Likes 4 Shares

I don't think we need these alerts from the security agency. Their duty is to foil the attack by apprehending the planners before they execute the attack. People like Gumi who openly urge them on should be questioned. We are tired of hearing that something is being done. We want to see things done. Results!!!!!! 1 Like |
