Ok I've been reading stuff about Nigerian history and I came upon this article from the June 9, 1998 copy of the Washington Post, a respected newspaper. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/inatl/longterm/nigeria/stories/corrupt060998.htm 

Towards the bottom of the article it describes the Chagoury family and how they made their money from Abacha. Is a disgrace to say the least. I did a quick Google search and what do I see? The Chagoury son that was Abach's bosom friend is now described as a foremost philanthropist, industrialist, family man, ambassador, diplomat, you name it. He was even an ambassador to the Vatican for St. Lucia, a Carribean island country, and he even has a gallery in the Louvre of Paris, France named after him!

I guess my point is, people do get away with things in this world, and sadly  this is a blatant example of what you can achieve if you are willing to get your hands dirty in Nigeria . if this was a developed country, someone would have tracked this man down, exposed him and recovered all the money by now. It is only in Nigeria someone would come from Lebanon of all places and monopolise all our own resources, walk away and dare to flaunt his ill gotten wealth.
